O percurso para construir esta reflexão está ancorado, teoricamente, no conceito sociológico de &#8220;raça&#8221; e de &#8220;racismo estrutural&#8221;; e foi constituído, metodologicamente, por uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre educação e relações étnico-raciais e pela análise documental das propostas legais que regem o tema. Conclui-se que o conjunto de trabalhos pesquisados atesta que a formação de professores para as relações étnico-raciais exige um olhar teoricamente sensibilizado para o reconhecimento do racismo estrutural nas instituições de ensino, capaz de favorecer práticas pedagógicas antirracistas que contribuam para uma sociedade mais democrática.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article aims to foster reflection on the qualification of basic education teachers in the light of discussions on ethnic-racial relations, the legal framework on such issues, and research on possibilities to build school curricula and antiracist teacher training. The theoretical and methodological approach chosen to build such reflection is theoretically based on the sociological concepts of &#8220;race&#8221; and &#8220;structural racism&#8221;; it was methodologically constituted through bibliographical research on education and ethnic-racial relations as well as documentary analysis of the legislation on the matter. It can be concluded that the body or work researched demonstrates that the qualification of teachers on the issue of ethnic-racial relations calls for a theoretically honed outlook toward the recognition of structural racism in schools, able to favor anti-racist pedagogical practices which may contribute to the betterment of society as more democratic.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El artículo propone una reflexión sobre la formación de maestros de la educación básica a partir de las discusiones sobre las relaciones étnico-raciales, las propuestas legales que rigen la temática y las investigaciones que apuntan posibilidades para la construcción de los currículos escolares y la formación docente antirracista. El camino para construir esta reflexión está teóricamente anclado en el concepto sociológico de &#8220;raza&#8221; y &#8220;racismo estructural&#8221;; y estuvo constituido, metodológicamente, por una investigación bibliográfica sobre educación y relaciones étnico-raciales y por el análisis documental de los proyectos de ley que rigen el tema. Se concluye que el conjunto de trabajos investigados atestiguan que la formación de docentes para las relaciones étnico-raciales requiere una mirada teóricamente sensibilizada para el reconocimiento del racismo estructural en las instituciones educativas, capaz de favorecer prácticas pedagógicas antirracistas que contribuyan a una sociedad más democrática.]]></p></abstract>
