Preparar os jovens para o conv&#237;vio de tradi&#231;&#245;es culturais diferentes torna-se sua tarefa cada vez mais importante. &#192; base da compara&#231;&#227;o com os conceitos do ex&#243;tico e da estranheza, o artigo destaca a rela&#231;&#227;o de alteridade como diretriz que aponta a necess&#225;ria postura pedag&#243;gica para cumprir essa tarefa: reconhecer o direito do outro de ser diferente e responsabilizar-se pela sua integra&#231;&#227;o sociocultural. Assim, a rela&#231;&#227;o de alteridade reafirma a conota&#231;&#227;o eminentemente &#233;tica da tarefa educacional e o campo educativo como campo da experi&#234;ncia social. &#201; entre os extremos do profissionalismo objetivo e a afetividade subjetiva que a rela&#231;&#227;o de alteridade contribui para a constru&#231;&#227;o de um espa&#231;o social produtivo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: Today, education is challenged by the increasing heterogeneity of contemporary society. Therefore, preparing young people for the experience of sharing different cultural traditions becomes a more and more important task. Based on the comparison of the concepts of the exotic and the strange, the author emphasizes the concept of alterity as an indication that points out the necessary pedagogical posture to fulfill this task: to recognize the right of the other to be different and to be responsible for their sociocultural integration. Thus, the relation of alterity reaffirms the eminently ethic connotation of the educational purpose and the field of education as a field of social experience. It is between the extremes of objective professionalism and subjective affection that the relation of alterity contributes to the construction of a socially productive space. ]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[R&#201;SUM&#201;: L&#8217;h&#233;t&#233;rog&#233;n&#233;it&#233; croissante de la soci&#233;t&#233; contemporaine repr&#233;sente un vrai d&#233;fi pour l&#8217;&#233;ducation dont une t&#226;che d&#8217;importance grandissante est de pr&#233;parer les jeunes &#224; la coexistence de traditions culturelles diff&#233;rentes. Preparar a los j&#243;venes para la convivencia de tradiciones culturales diferentes se convierte en su tarea cada vez m&#225;s importante. Con base en la comparaci&#243;n con los conceptos de lo ex&#243;tico y de la extra&#241;eza, el art&#237;culo destaca la relaci&#243;n de alteridad como directriz que se&#241;ala la necesaria postura pedag&#243;gica para cumplir esa tarea: reconocer el derecho del otro de ser diferente y responsabilizarse por su integraci&#243;n sociocultural.
