Para tal, os dados coletados por meio de um question&#225;rio procuraram buscar respostas para tr&#234;s perguntas: o que &#233; ler? Qual a sua import&#226;ncia? Onde a leitura ocorre? Para contribuir para o processo de forma&#231;&#227;o de alunos leitores no &#226;mbito da escola e da Universidade, partimos da concep&#231;&#227;o de leitura para al&#233;m de uma decodifica&#231;&#227;o de palavras. Como sujeitos da pesquisa, tivemos seis alunos que participaram do curso de extens&#227;o. Apontamos, tamb&#233;m, a necessidade de implementa&#231;&#227;o de atividades no &#226;mbito escolar que possibilitem a supera&#231;&#227;o da pr&#225;tica de leitura mec&#226;nica e das falhas de interpreta&#231;&#227;o. O tratamento dado ao instrumento foi de cunho interpretativista, por interm&#233;dio da indu&#231;&#227;o.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This study analyzed how students on an Outreach course at a public University in northern Paran&#225; perceive the act of reading. To do so, data collected from a questionnaire were used to find answers to three questions: what is reading? What is its importance? Where does it happen? With a view to contribute to the formation of reader students in school and University circles, we started from a conception of reading beyond that of decoding words. The research subjects were six students participating in the Outreach Course. The study also points out the need of implementing activities in the school to help move on from the practice of mechanical reading and failure to interpret. The methodology involved was of an interpretative nature using induction.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[En este estudio, se investig&#243; como alumnos de un curso de extensi&#243;n de una Universidad p&#250;blica del norte del estado de Paran&#225; percibieron el acto de la lectura. Para eso, los datos colectados a partir de un cuestionario buscaron respuestas a tr&#234;s preguntas: &#191;Qu&#233; es leer? &#191;Cu&#225;l es su importancia? &#191;D&#243;nde esta ocurre? Buscando contribuir con el proceso de formaci&#243;n de alumnos lectores en el &#225;mbito de la escuela y de la universidad, partimos de la concepci&#243;n de lectura como algo m&#225;s all&#225; de una decodificaci&#243;n de palabras. Como sujetos de la investigaci&#243;n tuvimos seis alumnos que participaron del curso de extensi&#243;n. Se apunta tambi&#233;n, la necesidad de implementaci&#243;n de actividades en el &#225;mbito escolar que posibiliten la superaci&#243;n de la pr&#225;ctica de lectura mec&#225;nica y de las fallas en las interpretaciones. El tratamento dado al instrumento fue de car&#225;cter interpretativista por intermedio de la inducci&#243;n.]]></p></abstract>
