Nessa pesquisa autobiográfica, em que a história de vida é utilizada como dispositivo de investigação, apresentamos a imaginação como um componente importante de nossa experiência no mundo, a qual possibilita-nos criar novas relações, ampliando nosso eu e transcendendo o tempo e o espaço. Sustentamos que, na participação em comunidades sociais, como as comunidades escolares de que as/os professoras/es são membros, significados são (re)negociados na relação com as/os outras/os, conduzindo-as/os a experiências de aprendizagem da docência que as/os permite imaginar-se no mundo, (des)construindo identidades docentes de pertencimento a essas comunidades. Como pertencemos, simultaneamente, a muitas comunidades diferentes, (des)construímos múltiplas identidades ao longo de nossas trajetórias, em um movimento contingente em que vamos assumindo vertentes de nossas identidades.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: The study aimed to describe experiences negotiated in diverse paths to understand how they forge situations in which it&#8217;s possible to imagine a teacher who teaches about Sciences. In this autobiographical research, where life history is used as a device for investigation, we present the imagination as an important component of our experience in the world, which enables us to create new relationships, enlarging our notion of self and transcending time and space. We defend that in participating in social communities, such as the school communities of which teachers are members, meanings are (re)negotiated in relation to others, leading them to a learning experience about teaching that allows them to imagine themselves in the world, (de)constructing teaching identities of belonging in these communities. As we belong simultaneously to many different communities, we (de)construct multiple identities throughout our careers, in a contingent movement in which we assume aspects of our identities.]]></p></abstract>
