Procura-se compreender como é que se transitou de uma conceção de “Educação Permanente” para a designada “Aprendizagem ao Longo da Vida”. Defende-se a perspetiva de que o campo da educação de adultos, relativamente ao modo como foi historicamente construído na segunda metade do século XX, mudou a sua natureza e já não é mais pertinente encará-lo como um projeto global de mudança social.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Dans cet article, en ayant comme point de repère empirique les recherches qui prennent comme objet les politiques publiques d’éducation et de formation des adultes, on essaye de faire une analyse du cas du Portugal. On cherche à comprendre le processus qui a fait évoluer "Éducation Permanente"vers ce qu’on appelle "L’Apprentissage Tout au Long de la Vie". On soutient que le champ d’éducation et de formation des adultes, tel qu’il a été construit historiquement dans la deuxième moitié du XXe siècle, a changé de nature. Il n’est plus pertinent qu’on l’envisage comme un projet global de changement social.]]></p></abstract>
