Apresenta-se os fundamentos teórico-metodológicos que têm orientado investigações desenvolvidas num grupo de pesquisa brasileiro nos últimos quatro anos, em sintonia com abordagens presentes em outros contextos nacionais e internacionais. Numa compreensão de pesquisa como espaço de reflexão crítica e instância pedagógica, as investigações escolhidas para compor o recorte do artigo entrelaçam os temas mídia, imagem e corporeidade com a atenção aos direitos das crianças, à ludicidade, às autorias infantis e aos desafios das práticas culturais na cultura digital. Entre tais desafios, destaca-se a necessidade de considerar a escuta às vozes, aos silêncios e às performances das crianças como forma privilegiada para construir metodologias participativas. Sinaliza-se também a importância de desconstruir certas retóricas redutoras presentes no debate social e dar visibilidade à riqueza do já considerável corpo de pesquisas sobre imagem, mídia e corporeidade na infância. Por fim, o texto enfatiza o papel da articulação interdisciplinar entre pesquisadores que atuam com estes temas, de modo a fortalecer a pesquisa voltada a qualificar a mediação educativa diante das mudanças culturais contemporâneas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract By considering the relationship between media, images and corporalities in research with and about children, this article discusses some scenarios and cultural practices of contemporary childhoods from an educational perspective. It presents the theoretical-methodological foundations that have guided investigations conducted by a Brazilian research group over the past four years, in consonance with approaches present in other Brazilian and international contexts. In an understanding of research as a space for critical reflection and a pedagogical process, the investigations chosen to compose the article link the themes of media, image and corporality and focus on the rights of children, playfulness, childhood authorship and the challenges of cultural practices in the digital culture. These challenges are highlighted by the need to listen to children&#8217;s voices, silences and performances to construct participatory methodologies. It also raises the importance of deconstructing a certain reductive rhetoric present in the social debate and to give visibility to the wealth of the already considerable body of studies about image, media and corporality in childhood. Finally, the text emphasizes the role of interdisciplinary articulation among researchers who work with these themes, to strengthen research aimed at qualifying educational mediation, in light of contemporary cultural changes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Al pensar la relación entre medios, imágenes y corporeidades en la investigación con y sobre niños, el texto discute algunos escenarios y prácticas culturales de las infancias contemporáneas desde la mirada de la educación. Son presentados los fundamentos teórico-metodológicos que vienen orientando las investigaciones desarrolladas en un grupo de pesquisa brasileño durante los últimos cuatro años, en sintonía con los abordajes presentes en otros contextos nacionales e internacionales. Desde una comprensión de la investigación como un espacio de reflexión crítica y una instancia pedagógica, las investigaciones seleccionadas para componer el recorte del artículo entrelazan los temas medios, imagen y corporeidad con atención a los derechos de los niños, a la ludicidad, a las autorías infantiles y a los retos de las prácticas culturales en la cultura digital. Entre estos retos, se destacan la necesidad de considerar la escucha de las voces, los silencios y las performances de los niños como una forma privilegiada para construir metodologías participativas. También está señalada la importancia de desconstruir ciertas retóricas reductoras presentes en el debate social y brindar visibilidad a la riqueza del ya considerable cuerpo de investigaciones sobre imagen, medios y corporeidad en la infancia. Por fin, el texto enfatiza el papel de la articulación interdisciplinar entre investigadores que actúan con estos temas, para fortalecer la investigación volcada a cualificar la mediación educativa frente a los cambios culturales contemporáneos.]]></p></abstract>
