The researcher comments on some of the current challenges in the field of program evaluation, highlighting methodological tendencies and ethical issues in professional practice. He also discusses knowledge, competences and skills that should be considered in the training of the professional evaluator. Coryn criticizes current evaluative approaches that disconnect program evaluation from values and valuing, which, in his view, are distinctive elements of program evaluation.]]></p></abstract>
