De natureza qualitativa, utiliza como fontes narrativas de uma professora e de 28 alunos do 9º ano do ensino fundamental. Os resultados indicam que o uso desses registros potencializa: a) a autoavaliação; b) o protagonismo estudantil; c) a interpretação dos sentidos atribuídos ao aprender na educação física; e d) a rememoração do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. O artigo conclui que a avaliação por imagens fortalece o diálogo, a pesquisa e a reflexão entre os alunos e sua professora, revelando diferentes formas de aprendizagem.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este artículo tiene el propósito de comprender los sentidos que una profesora y sus alumnos le atribuyen al uso de registros de evaluación por imágenes (portafolio fotográfico, maquetas, dibujos, afiches, historietas) en las clases de educación física durante ocho años de escolarización. De naturaleza cualitativa, utiliza como fuentes narrativas de una profesora y de 28 alumnos del 9º año de educación fundamental. Los resultados indican que el uso de tales registros potencia: a) una autoevaluación; b) el protagonismo estudiantil; c) la interpretación de los sentidos que se atribuyen al aprender en educación física; y d) la rememoración del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. El artículo concluye que la evaluación por imágenes fortalece el diálogo, la investigación y la reflexión entre los alumnos y su profesora, revelando distintas formas de aprendizaje.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article aims to understand the meanings attributed by a teacher and her students to the use of image-based assessment records (photographic portfolios, models, drawings, posters, comics) in physical education classes during eight years of schooling. This qualitative study uses as its sources the narratives of a teacher and 28 students from the 9th grade. The results indicate that the use of these records enhances: a) self-assessment; b) student empowerment; c) the interpretation of the meanings attributed to learning in physical education; and d) the recollection of the teaching-learning process. The article concludes that image-based assessment strengthens dialogue, research and reflection between students and their teachers, revealing different ways of learning.]]></p></abstract>
