La investigación se enmarca dentro del paradigma comprensivo-interpretativo. Se realizaron doce entrevistas semi-estructuradas y un grupo focal. Se identificaron las categorías emergentes de los discursos recogidos y se realizó análisis semántico estructural. Los principales resultados dan cuenta de las tensiones entre educadoras y ELCI&#8217;s y los mundos que estas representan, en donde el &#8220;reconocimiento&#8221; resulta ser la actitud y condición sobre la cual puede desarrollarse una implementación satisfactoria de la EIB. Las prácticas pedagógicas fundadas en los principios de la interculturalidad y el vínculo con las comunidades de pueblos originarios locales son percibidas como indispensables.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O artigo investiga as percepções de educadores pré-escolares, educadores de língua e cultura indígena (ElCI) e diretoras de jardins de infância em relação aos programas de Educação Intercultural Bilíngue (EIB) na Macrozona Central do Chile. A pesquisa está enquadrada no paradigma interpretativo-compreensivo. Foram realizadas 12 entrevistas semiestruturadas e um grupo focal. Foram identificadas as categorias emergentes dos discursos coletados e realizada a análise semântica estrutural. Os principais resultados mostram as tensões entre educadores e ELCI&#8217;s e os mundos que eles representam, nos quais o &#8220;reconhecimento&#8221; acaba por ser a atitude e a condição sobre as quais uma implementação satisfatória da EIB pode ser desenvolvida. Práticas pedagógicas baseadas nos princípios da interculturalidade e no vínculo com comunidades de povos indígenas locais são percebidas como indispensáveis.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article investigates the perceptions of preschool educators, educators in indigenous language and culture (ELCI), and directors of kindergartens with Intercultural Bilingual Education (EIB) programs in the Central Macrozone of Chile. The research is framed within the comprehensive-interpretive paradigm. Twelve semi-structured interviews and one focus group were carried out. Emerging categories of the collected discourses were identified, and structural semantic analysis was performed. The main results show the tensions between educators and ELCIs and the worlds they represent, where &#8220;recognition&#8221; turns out to be the attitude and condition on which a satisfactory implementation of the IBE can be developed. Pedagogical practices based on intercultural principles and the link with local indigenous communities are perceived as indispensable.]]></p></abstract>
