A oficina foi desenvolvida com estudantes do Ensino Médio profissionalizante do Curso Técnico Integrado em Meio Ambiente de uma escola pública na cidade de Ponta Grossa, Paraná. No trabalho foi realizada a análise da qualidade da água de um arroio no entorno da escola, a qual foi classificada como ruim pelo IQA proposto. Os resultados apontam para a necessidade de articulação efetiva entre a formação básica e profissional, além de evidenciarem a necessidade de repensar a formação dos técnicos como detentores de conhecimentos científicos e competências profissionais afinadas com a realidade social.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper reports a survey mainly having focus on the analysis of the results obtained after the use of a material (AQI) allied to technological resources (software Google Earth ™) used in an environmental educational workshop. The workshop was developed with students of an Environmental vocational education program of a public school in the city of Ponta Grossa, Parana. The work carried out analysis of water quality of a stream around the school, which was classified as poor by the proposed WQI. Results indicate the need for effective linkage between the basic and professional education, and also put in evidence the need to rethink the teaching of techniciansas the ones who posses scientific knowledge and professional skills in step with social realities.]]></p></abstract>
