Para isso, selecionamos como metodologia algumas ferramentas da análise do discurso a partir de Michel Foucault, operando especificamente com os conceitos de discurso e enunciado. Sendo assim, apoiada em autores como Michel Foucault, Félix Guattari, Isabel Carvalho e Leandro Belinaso Guimarães, a pesquisa demonstra a importância da cultura na produção de modos de ser e estar na contemporaneidade. Ao estudar o discurso da crise ambiental presente nas letras de rock, entende-se que tal artefato cultural auxilia para colocar em operação uma relação de poder ao fabricar verdades, produzir sentidos e constituir sujeitos. Destacamos que este artigo nos evidencia uma das formas de olhar para a crise ambiental: o homem como principal destruidor de nosso planeta.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The present study aims to highlight the environmental crisis speech through rock and roll lyrics of different western countries in order to analyze the discourse in the field of Environmental Education. To do that, we chose as methodology the discourse analysis approach of Michel Foucault, specifically his concepts of discourse and enunciation. Authors like Michel Foucault, Félix Guattari, Isabel Carvalho and Leandro Belinaso Guimarães offer support for the research, which demonstrates the importance of culture in the production of the ways of living in the contemporaneity. Studying the environmental crisis speech presented in rock and roll lyrics helps us understand that this cultural artifact leads to the construction of a relation of power, once it makes us believe in certain truths, producing meanings and constituting beings. We highlight that the present article brings up evidence of a way to face the environmental crisis: mankind as the main destroyer of our planet.]]></p></abstract>
