<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0104-70432014000200231&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0104-70432014000200231&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0104-70432014000200231&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[O presente artigo &#233; fruto de uma pesquisa em Educa&#231;&#227;o e toma por objeto de estudo as narrativas orais das professoras Acinete Almeida Bispo (1932), Janete Aguiar de Souza Cruz (1939), Josefina Batista Hora (1928), Maria Isabel dos Santos (1930), Maria Lita Silveira (1936), Maura Fontes Hora (1933) e Risoneuma Soares Feitosa (1943), residentes no munic&#237;pio de Umba&#250;ba, cidade localizada no sul sergipano; e tem como problem&#225;tica as seguintes quest&#245;es: Como as fontes orais podem ser utilizadas na pesquisa hist&#243;rica? Como as mem&#243;rias de educadores podem fazer parte dos dom&#237;nios da Hist&#243;ria da Educa&#231;&#227;o? O objetivo foi compreender como a pesquisa historiogr&#225;fica pode se valer de relatos orais, sobretudo, de professoras idosas. Ao nos apropriarmos das mem&#243;rias das professoras e conceb&#234;-las como fruto de sujeito fazedor de sua pr&#243;pria hist&#243;ria, buscamos na Hist&#243;ria Cultural e Social Inglesa, segundo Edward P. Thompson (1981), respaldo te&#243;rico para operarmos historiograficamente por lentes "vistas de baixo". Para tal, fizemos uso do conceito de mem&#243;ria de Raphael Samuel (1997). O referencial te&#243;rico-metodol&#243;gico foi constru&#237;do a partir da metodologia da hist&#243;ria oral, segundo as an&#225;lises realizadas por Alberti (2005). Assim, podemos concluir que, muito embora existam m&#250;ltiplos debates e discuss&#245;es sobre o uso da mem&#243;ria na pesquisa historiogr&#225;fica, aqui, neste trabalho, identificamos que a mem&#243;ria oral em muito alimentou a Hist&#243;ria. Neste caso espec&#237;fico, pode-se contemplar que o uso da mem&#243;ria nos fez entender as pr&#225;ticas escolares e a cultura escolar no munic&#237;pio de Umba&#250;ba-SE, no per&#237;odo de 1955 a 1989.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article is based on a research in education and takes as its object of study the oral narratives of the teachers Acinete Bispo Almeida (1932), Janete Aguiar de Souza Cruz (1939), Josefina Batista Hora (1928), Maria Isabel dos Santos (1930), Maria Lita Silveira (1936), Maura Fontes Hora (1933) and Risoneuma Soares Feitosa (1943),who live in the city of Umba&#250;ba, that is located in the southern Sergipe, and it has the following research problems: how oral sources can be used in historical research? How memories of educators can be part of the fields of the History of Education? Our aim was to understand how historical research can make use of oral reports, especially of older teachers. When we analyze the memories of the teachers and interpret them as the result of subjects who make their own history, we take Cultural and Social English History, according to Edward P. Thompson (1981) as the theoretical basis to historiographically interpret the data from the "selves" point of view. For that, we bring the concept of memory of Raphael Samuel (1997). The theoretical and methodological framework was built from the oral history methodology, according to analyzes conducted by Alberti (2005). Thus we can conclude that although there are multiple debates and discussions on the use of memory in historical research, in this study, we identified that memory helps a lot to know and understand history. In this particular case, we can consider that the memory data helped us understand the school practices and the school culture of Umba&#250;ba/SE during the period from 1955 to 1989.]]></p></abstract>
