Para tanto, explora o potencial de desenvolvimento cognitivo, linguístico e cultural-identitário proporcionado pela contação de histórias, por meio do suporte da Linguística Aplicada e dos Estudos Surdos. Foram selecionados três vídeos de contadores disponíveis em canais do YouTube para análise, apresentando, ao fim, possibilidades didáticas para a sala de aula. Os resultados sugerem que ao imergirem em histórias contadas em língua de sinais, crianças surdas entram em contato com aspectos que permitem o desenvolvimento global, ainda que as intencionalidades por parte do professor contador das histórias não estejam postas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study discusses the contributions of storytelling in Brazilian Sign Language for death people education at an elementary school. In order to do so, it exploits the potential of cognitive, linguistic and cultural development provided by storytelling, supported by Applied Linguistics and studies concerning the Death allied with three videos from storytellers available on channels of YouTube; presenting at the end, teaching possibilities for usage in the classroom. The results suggest that when death children immerse in the stories told in sign languages, they get in contact with aspects that allow global development, even without the storyteller teacher&#8217;s intentionality being presented.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este trabajo discute las contribuciones de la narración de historias en Lengua de Signos Brasileña (Libras), para la educación de sordos en la escuela primaria. En este sentido, se explora el potencial de desarrollo cognitivo, lingüístico y la identidad cultural resultantes de las narraciones, a través del apoyo de la Lingüística Aplicada y de los Estudios de Sordos, aliados a la selección de tres películas de narradores disponibles en canales de YouTube, presentando, al fin, posibilidades didácticas para clases. Los resultados dan cuenta que, al adentrarse en las historias narradas en lengua de signos, los niños sordos entran en contacto con aspectos que permiten el desarrollo integral, aunque las intenciones por parte, del profesor narrador de las historias, no se ponen.]]></p></abstract>
