Em uma perspectiva teórico-crítica, a escola e as pessoas que dela participam exercem um papel importante na mediação entre a violência social e a violência escolar, impedindo, produzindo e/ou reproduzindo em seus espaços também a violência de gênero. Dialogando com estudos anteriores sobre o bullying e o preconceito enquanto formas conhecidas de violência escolar, analiso alguns dos aspectos psicossociais envolvidos na violência de gênero, tarefa que envolve uma necessária crítica das representações ideológicas de gênero e de suas imagens de controle. Espero, com estas reflexões, contribuir para uma melhor compreensão da violência escolar de gênero e seu campo de estudos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Considering that gender violence participates in different forms of school violence, this essay is dedicated to a discussion about both the specificities of gender violence, and the way in which this kind of violence participates in school relationships. From a Critical Theory perspective, students, teachers and scholar crew play an important role to mediate social violence and school violence, preventing, producing and/or reproducing gender violence in school spaces. In dialogue with previous studies on bullying and prejudice, as known forms of school violence, I analyze some of the psychosocial aspects involved in gender violence. This task involves a necessary critique of the ideological representations of gender and their controlling images. I hope, with these reflections, to contribute to a better understanding of school-related genderbased violence and its field of study.]]></p></abstract>

Desde una perspectiva teórico-crítica, la escuela y las personas que en ella participan juegan un papel importante en la mediación entre la violencia social y la violencia escolar, previniendo, produciendo y/o reproduciendo la violencia de género en sus espacios.
