Ao traçar um breve panorama dos assuntos investigados, aponta ainda a relevância da questão, seus aspectos não estudados e a importância de trazer para o campo de estudos o tema da juventude. Situando os jovens como atores prováveis de conflitos na sociedade contemporânea, o texto delineia alguns dos eixos que poderão articular as formas atuais de sua manifestação: o campo da produção cultural, sobretudo a música, a informação e a comunicação, a ação voluntária e as formas de trabalho cooperativo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The article examines the relations between social movements, youth and education with an appraisal of the main themes that have been associated with research about social movements. On outlining the scope of the subject researched, it points out the relevance of the issue, aspects that have not as yet been studied and the importance of bringing the youth theme into this field of study. By situating youth as a probable actor in contemporary society's conflicts, the text outlines some coordinates that could correlate modern forms of how they manifest themselves: cultural production, especially music; information and communication; voluntary work and forms of cooperative work.]]></p></abstract>
