A abordagem que se estabelece adv&#233;m do resultado de uma pesquisa conclu&#237;da que teve como tema o estudo da trajet&#243;ria de seis leitores rurais que leem cotidianamente, e n&#227;o por profiss&#227;o, mas por prazer e distra&#231;&#227;o. O aporte te&#243;rico oferecido pelo soci&#243;logo Bernard Lahire apresenta significativa contribui&#231;&#227;o ao propor uma an&#225;lise &#224; escala individual, na qual o social &#233; abordado individualmente. A investiga&#231;&#227;o da trajet&#243;ria desses leitores permitiu perceber a rela&#231;&#227;o estabelecida entre o meio rural e a leitura, al&#233;m de esbo&#231;ar uma imagem das pr&#225;ticas de leitura no mundo social. Nos textos lidos, os temas mais recorrentes apresentam uma aproxima&#231;&#227;o com os esquemas da pr&#243;pria experi&#234;ncia dos atores, revelando apropria&#231;&#245;es &#233;tico-pr&#225;ticas da leitura.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este art&#237;culo discute cuestiones relativas a la pr&#225;ctica de la lectura de lectores asiduos vinculados al medio rural, en especial en relaci&#243;n a los sentidos que se atribuyen a la lectura, a partir del concepto de apropiaci&#243;n desarrollado por Roger Chartier. El abordaje que se establece proviene del resultado de una investigaci&#243;n concluida, que tuvo como tema el estudio de la trayectoria de seis lectores rurales que leen cotidianamente, de forma no profesional. El aporte te&#243;rico ofrecido por el soci&#243;logo Bernard Lahire presenta uma significativa contribuci&#243;n al proponer un an&#225;lisis de la escala individual, en el cual lo social es abordado particularmente. La investigaci&#243;n de la trayectoria de estos lectores permiti&#243; percibir la relaci&#243;n que establecen con el m&#233;dio rural y la lectura, adem&#225;s de esbozar una imagen de las pr&#225;cticas de lectura en el mundo social. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This paper discusses issues related to assiduous readers in rural areas and their practices of reading, mainly regarding the meaning they attribute to reading, based on the concept of appropriation developed by Roger Chartier.This approach results from a previous research which investigated the progress of six rural readers whose daily reading is not connected to their occupations. The theoretical support based on the sociologist Bernard Lahire gives significant contribution since it proposes an analysis of the individual scale, in which the social aspect is addressed individually. The investigation of these readers' progress enabled not only the relation they establish between the rural area and reading to be perceived but also an image of reading practices in the social world to be outlined. In the texts they read, the most common themes show there is an approximation to the schemes of the actors' own experience, a fact that reveals ethical-practical appropriation of reading.]]></p></abstract>
