O presente estudo investiga a implementa&#231;&#227;o da lei n. 11.645 no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Focaremos nas representa&#231;&#245;es e nas pr&#225;ticas de professores de escolas municipais e estaduais da regi&#227;o do Grande Rio, acerca da lei e do ensino sobre a realidade dos povos ind&#237;genas. Para essa an&#225;lise, realizamos entrevistas, observa&#231;&#227;o em escolas e question&#225;rios preenchidos por professores. A relev&#226;ncia deste trabalho se apresenta pela escassez de estudos em rela&#231;&#227;o &#224; aplica&#231;&#227;o da referida lei no que diz respeito &#224; inclus&#227;o da tem&#225;tica ind&#237;gena na educa&#231;&#227;o b&#225;sica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT From the law n. 11.645/2008, which establishes the obligation of teaching the history and culture of indigenous peoples in schools at primary and secondary level education in Brazil, Scholarly education faced a difficult challenge: change its monocultural array and instead consider the richness and diversity of the indigenous contribution to the understanding of culture and national history. This article explores the implementation of law n. 11.645 in the state of Rio de Janeiro. It's focus are representations and practices of teachers in schools in the region called the Grande Rio, about the law and teaching about the reality of indigenous peoples. For this analysis, the methodology focused on interviews, observation in schools and questionnaires sent to teachers. The relevance of this work may be justified by the lack of studies that address the application of law in terms of the inclusion of indigenous issues in school education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN A partir de la ley n. 11.645/2008, que establece la obligaci&#243;n de la ense&#241;anza de la historia y cultura de los pueblos ind&#237;genas en las escuelas de nivel primario y secundario, la educaci&#243;n brasile&#241;a se enfrent&#243; a un dif&#237;cil desaf&#237;o: modificar su matriz monocultural y pasar a considerar la riqueza y la contribuci&#243;n de la diversidad ind&#237;gena para la comprensi&#243;n de la cultura e historia nacional. Este art&#237;culo indaga en la implementaci&#243;n de la ley n. 11.645 en el estado de R&#237;o de Janeiro. El enfoque son las representaciones y pr&#225;cticas de docentes de escuelas de la regi&#243;n del Gran R&#237;o, acerca de la ley y de la ense&#241;anza sobre la realidad de los pueblos ind&#237;genas. Para este an&#225;lisis, se realizaron entrevistas, observaci&#243;n en escuelas y aplicaci&#243;n de cuestionarios entre docentes y directivos. La relevancia de este trabajo se justifica por la escasez de estudios que aborden la aplicaci&#243;n de dicha ley en relaci&#243;n a la inclusi&#243;n de la tem&#225;tica ind&#237;gena en la educaci&#243;n escolar.]]></p></abstract>

O presente estudo investiga a implementa&#231;&#227;o da lei n. 11.645 no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Focaremos nas representa&#231;&#245;es e nas pr&#225;ticas de professores de escolas municipais e estaduais da regi&#227;o do Grande Rio, acerca da lei e do ensino sobre a realidade dos povos ind&#237;genas. Para essa an&#225;lise, realizamos entrevistas, observa&#231;&#227;o em escolas e question&#225;rios preenchidos por professores. A relev&#226;ncia deste trabalho se apresenta pela escassez de estudos em rela&#231;&#227;o &#224; aplica&#231;&#227;o da referida lei no que diz respeito &#224; inclus&#227;o da tem&#225;tica ind&#237;gena na educa&#231;&#227;o b&#225;sica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT From the law n. 11.645/2008, which establishes the obligation of teaching the history and culture of indigenous peoples in schools at primary and secondary level education in Brazil, Scholarly education faced a difficult challenge: change its monocultural array and instead consider the richness and diversity of the indigenous contribution to the understanding of culture and national history. This article explores the implementation of law n. 11.645 in the state of Rio de Janeiro. It's focus are representations and practices of teachers in schools in the region called the Grande Rio, about the law and teaching about the reality of indigenous peoples. For this analysis, the methodology focused on interviews, observation in schools and questionnaires sent to teachers. The relevance of this work may be justified by the lack of studies that address the application of law in terms of the inclusion of indigenous issues in school education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN A partir de la ley n. 11.645/2008, que establece la obligaci&#243;n de la ense&#241;anza de la historia y cultura de los pueblos ind&#237;genas en las escuelas de nivel primario y secundario, la educaci&#243;n brasile&#241;a se enfrent&#243; a un dif&#237;cil desaf&#237;o: modificar su matriz monocultural y pasar a considerar la riqueza y la contribuci&#243;n de la diversidad ind&#237;gena para la comprensi&#243;n de la cultura e historia nacional. Este art&#237;culo indaga en la implementaci&#243;n de la ley n. 11.645 en el estado de R&#237;o de Janeiro. El enfoque son las representaciones y pr&#225;cticas de docentes de escuelas de la regi&#243;n del Gran R&#237;o, acerca de la ley y de la ense&#241;anza sobre la realidad de los pueblos ind&#237;genas. Para este an&#225;lisis, se realizaron entrevistas, observaci&#243;n en escuelas y aplicaci&#243;n de cuestionarios entre docentes y directivos. La relevancia de este trabajo se justifica por la escasez de estudios que aborden la aplicaci&#243;n de dicha ley en relaci&#243;n a la inclusi&#243;n de la tem&#225;tica ind&#237;gena en la educaci&#243;n escolar.]]></p></abstract>
