<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1516-73132014000300011&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1516-73132014000300011&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1516-73132014000300011&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Neste trabalho discute-se, a partir do referencial de Vigotski, como ocorreu o processo de significação sobre borboletas em duas crianças de quatro anos, que se diferenciam de modo contrastante pelas formas de utilizarem as linguagens: um menino que desenhava muito e falava pouco, e uma menina que falava muito e desenhava pouco. Levar em conta as duas formas de expressão permitiu a constatação de que, nos dois casos, houve internalização de conhecimentos. Considera-se que só foi possível fazer essas constatações em decorrência do cuidado metodológico de "dar voz" às crianças por meio de linguagens diferentes, o que possibilitou que tanto a menina como o menino pudessem atribuir significados aos insetos estudados. A partir desta análise, são apontadas algumas das condições necessárias para o desenvolvimento de atividades de ciências com o público infantil.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In this paper we discuss, from the theoretical framework of Vygosky, how the process of attributing meanings to butterflies occurs among two four year old children that differ and use contrasting modes of language: a boy who drew pictures a lot and spoke very little and a girl who spoke too much and drew pictures very little. Taking into account the two forms of expression allowed us conclude that in both cases there were internalizations of biological knowledge. We believe that it was only possible to make these findings as a result of methodological precaution that we have had to "give voice" to children through different languages, which enable both the girl and the boy to assign meanings to the insects studied. From this analysis, we present some of the necessary conditions for the development of science activities with children.]]></p></abstract>
