Data were collected through the questionnaire entitled Barometer and analyzed using the software Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) - version 18.0. The results show that Italians more often recognize the validity of topics related to evolutionary theory. In addition, there are different sociocultural factors associated with the answers of the young of both countries, increasing or decreasing with the familiarity of students with scientific explanations for natural phenomena.
</abstract>
