O objetivo é apresentar uma proposta para explorar as propriedades algébricas de rotações e reflexões em grupos diedrais com o aporte do GeoGebra. A abordagem fornece suporte teórico ao professor na compreensão e no ensino de sua estrutura algébrica e propriedades por uma perspectiva visual, a partir de uma situação didática apoiada em uma construção no software. A metodologia adotada foi a Engenharia Didática e a sessão de ensino foi estruturada seguindo as dialéticas da Teoria das Situações Didáticas. Almeja-se que a proposta apresentada contribua para a possível integração do GeoGebra ao ensino de Álgebra Abstrata, considerando a potencial contribuição de uma abordagem visual do tema na prática docente.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This paper investigates the teaching of finite dihedral groups, their importance in various domains, undergraduate students' difficulties in the subject, and the lack of available literature. The proposal aims to explore the algebraic characteristics of reflections and rotations in dihedral groups using support from GeoGebra. The approach provides theoretical support for the teacher in understanding and teaching its algebraic structure and properties from a visual perspective, supported by a didactic situation. The methodology adopted was didactic engineering, and the teaching session followed the dialectics of the Theory of Didactic Situations. We anticipate that integrating GeoGebra into the teaching of Abstract Algebra will offer significant benefits, considering the potential contribution of a visual approach to the topic in teaching practice.]]></p></abstract>
