Este trabalho tem como objetivo propor uma sequência didática que incorpore a experimentação voltada aos conceitos relacionados aos compostos inorgânicos (ácidos, bases e óxidos), fundamentada na Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica como base teórica. A atividade proposta busca integrar teoria e prática, utilizando como apoio um texto intitulado Entendendo a chuva ácida: será que mata? e um mapa conceitual, direcionados a estudantes do Ensino Médio. Os alunos serão incentivados a participar ativamente do processo de aprendizagem, relacionando seus saberes prévios com os novos, de maneira a estimular a curiosidade e a reflexão. Esse modelo de abordagem facilita a assimilação e retenção do conhecimento, ao passo que considera o contexto cultural e social, promovendo valores como responsabilidade social a partir da Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Experimentation in chemistry plays a crucial role in promoting learning by allowing the application of concepts, relating them to the real world, and bridging theory and practice. Based on the Critical Meaningful Learning Theory, this work aims to propose a teaching sequence that includes experiments that focus on ideas related to inorganic compounds (acids, bases, and oxides). The proposed activity seeks to integrate theory and practice by using a text entitled Understanding acid rain: Does it kill? and a concept map designed for secondary school students. By connecting their prior knowledge with new information, students will actively participate in the learning process, thereby stimulating curiosity and reflection. This approach facilitates the assimilation and retention of knowledge while considering cultural and social contexts and promotes values such as social responsibility through critical meaningful learning.]]></p></abstract>
