La educación en emergencias es una acción y un área de trabajo, reportada desde finales del siglo pasado, que estudia la educación en situaciones de emergencias. Debido a su naturaleza, sus dinámicas y sus posibilidades se requieren de continuas estrategias, intervenciones e investigaciones. En esta revisión tenemos como objetivo analizar objetos, propósitos, teorías y metodologías de documentos publicados en esta área. A partir de ella, proporcionamos información para investigadores/investigadoras y profesores/profesoras en torno a temas y problemas de investigación. Seleccionamos y analizamos 65 documentos, los cuales catalogamos como conceptuales, de intervención y de investigación; y caracterizamos los resultados en tres componentes: (i) procesos educativos (ii) protección y (iii) capacidades y particularidades. En los hallazgos resaltamos una comprensión de la educación en emergencias como área de trabajo y la necesidad de ampliación del enfoque de los temas de investigación para generar desarrollos en el área, en sus metodologías y objetos de estudio, de tal manera que se focalicen diseños rápidos, flexibles y eficaces para atender las emergencias, con criterios de evaluación continua de sus impactos y la adaptabilidad a otras emergencias.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract We present a literature review on education in emergencies. Education in emergencies is an action and an area work reported since the end of the last century. It studies education in emergency situations. It requires continuous strategies, interventions and research due to its nature, dynamics and possibilities. In this review, the aim is to analyze objects, purposes, theories and methodologies from publications of this area. Based on this review, we provide information for researchers and teachers about topics and problems for researching. Also, we selected and analyzed 65 papers and they were classified as conceptual, of intervening and of researching. Results were characterized in three components: (i) educational processes (ii) protection and (iii) skills and particularities. We highlight an understanding of education in emergencies as an area work and the need to broaden the approach of research topics to generate developments in the area, in methodologies and objects of study focusing fast, flexible, and effective designs to attend emergencies, with criteria for continuous evaluation of their impacts and adaptability to other emergencies.]]></p></abstract>
