<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1517-97022025000100604&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1517-97022025000100604&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1517-97022025000100604&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo No Brasil, a Lei nº 10.639/2003, que altera a Lei nº 9.394/1996 (Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação), abre possibilidade para o estudo da história e da cultura africana e afro-brasileira na educação básica e sua efetivação na prática, promovendo um espaço relevante de discussão e reflexão sobre as relações étnico-raciais na escola, bem como formas de superação do racismo estrutural. Este artigo debruçou-se sobre as docências compartilhadas desenvolvidas na Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Presidente Campos Salles, que propôs ações didáticas, tanto matemáticas quanto relacionadas a saberes socioculturais (letramento), a estudantes do ensino fundamental e da educação de jovens e adultos, em contraposição aos modelos verticais e hegemônicos de ensino. A intenção foi promover um diálogo com professores, alunos e arte-educadores a respeito da epistemologia africana e afro-brasileira, perversamente apagadas, para legitimar saberes invisibilizados, sobretudo por uma sociedade marcadamente colonial como a brasileira. A metodologia de pesquisa-em-ação orientou uma série de projetos pedagógicos aplicados em escolas públicas periféricas do município de São Paulo com vistas à construção de uma educação emancipatória e antirracista. Nesse contexto, é possível afirmar que tais práticas contribuíram para desmistificar discursos retóricos relacionados ao mito da democracia racial e à negação do racismo estrutural vigente nos diferentes contextos educacionais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In Brazil, Law nº 10.639/2003, which amends Law nº 9.394/1996 (Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education), opens the possibility for studying African and African Brazilian history and culture in basic education and their effective implementation in practice, by promoting the opening of a relevant space for discussing and reflecting on ethnic racial relations at school, as well as ways to overcome structural racism. This article focuses on the shared teaching practices developed at Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Presidente Campos Salles, which proposes the teaching of both mathematics and sociocultural knowledge (literacy) to basic education students and in youth and adult education, as opposed to vertical and hegemonic teaching models. The intention was to encourage a dialogue with teachers, students e art teachers about African and African Brazilian epistemology, which has been wickedly erased, to legitimate the knowledge that had been made invisible, particularly by a markedly colonial society, such as that in Brazil. The research-in-action methodology guided a series of pedagogical projects that were implemented in public schools in peripheral neighborhoods of Sao Paulo and aimed at building emancipatory and anti-racist education. In that regard, it is possible to state that such practices contributed to demystifying the rhetorical speeches related to the myth of racial democracy and denial of the structural racism present across the different education contexts.]]></p></abstract>
