Com base na revis&#227;o de literatura e por meio do recurso da an&#225;lise de conte&#250;do, aborda aspectos conceituais do tema, real&#231;ando a associa&#231;&#227;o entre pol&#237;ticas avaliativas e de accountability no momento em que novas agendas pol&#237;ticas tomam-na como um recurso de gest&#227;o dos servi&#231;os p&#250;blicos, com importante ader&#234;ncia nas pol&#237;ticas educacionais brasileiras em que ganha for&#231;a o debate da responsabiliza&#231;&#227;o. Questiona, justamente, a entrada dessas iniciativas no Brasil, associadas &#224; emerg&#234;ncia do Estado-avaliador, em um momento cujos novos e mais sofisticados mecanismos de avalia&#231;&#227;o despontam em pa&#237;ses de capitalismo mais avan&#231;ado, impondo formas cada vez mais universalizantes e globais de regula&#231;&#227;o, as quais indicam diferentes est&#225;gios de desenvolvimento da vaga avaliadora nos Estados nacionais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The work aims to discuss issues relating to accountability in education, considering the emergence of evaluation policies associated with responsability and account as a mechanism of quality control in the educational sector. Based on the literature review and through content analysis, it covers conceptual aspects of the theme, highlighting the association between evaluation and accountability policies at a time when new political agendas take it as a resource for the management of public services, with important educational policy adherence in Brazil, where the accountability discussion gains momentum. It questions, precisely, the input of these initiatives in Brazil, associated with the emergence of the evaluator-States, at a time when new and more sophisticated evaluation mechanisms begin to emerge in countries more advanced in the capitalism, imposing regulations that are increasingly universal and global, which show different stages of development of the evaluation in national States.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[El trabajo tiene por objetivo discutir cuestiones referentes a la accountability en la educaci&#243;n, tomando en cuenta la aparici&#243;n de pol&#237;ticas de evaluaci&#243;n asociadas a la responsabilizaci&#243;n y a la prestaci&#243;n de cuentas como mecanismo de regulaci&#243;n de la calidad en el sector. Con base en la revisi&#243;n de la literatura y mediante el uso de an&#225;lisis de contenido, aborda los aspectos conceptuales del tema, destacando la asociaci&#243;n entre pol&#237;ticas de evaluaci&#243;n y de accountability en el momento en que nuevas agendas pol&#237;ticas la toman como un recurso de gesti&#243;n de los servicios p&#250;blicos, con adhesi&#243;n significativa en las pol&#237;ticas educacionales brasileiras donde gana fuerza el debate de la responsabilizaci&#243;n. Cuestiona, precisamente, la entrada de estas iniciativas en el Brasil, asociadas al surgimiento del Estado-evaluador, en un momento en que nuevos y m&#225;s sofisticados mecanismos de evaluaci&#243;n comienzan a manar en pa&#237;ses de capitalismo m&#225;s avanzado, imponiendo formas cada vez m&#225;s universalizantes y globales de regulaci&#243;n las cuales indican diferentes etapas de desarrollo del espacio evaluador en los Estados nacionales.]]></p></abstract>
