A an&#225;lise &#233; feita por meio de avalia&#231;&#227;o do desempenho de sucessivos per&#237;odos que fizeram parte da hist&#243;ria educacional do pa&#237;s. Nesta an&#225;lise, destaca-se a rela&#231;&#227;o entre a Igreja Cat&#243;lica e o Estado portugu&#234;s na implanta&#231;&#227;o da miss&#227;o civilizat&#243;ria sobrepondo uma cultura oral pela cultura escrita europeia. Nesse sentido, no ensino colonial, a Igreja Cat&#243;lica desempenhou o papel fundamental na dociliza&#231;&#227;o dos guineenses. A igreja n&#227;o s&#243; ajudou na implanta&#231;&#227;o da pol&#237;tica educacional, como tamb&#233;m participou na legitima&#231;&#227;o do colonialismo portugu&#234;s, sancionando e santificando a miss&#227;o civilizadora e fun&#231;&#227;o hist&#243;rica de Portugal. Portanto, a Igreja era respons&#225;vel pela educa&#231;&#227;o dos ind&#237;genas e sua condi&#231;&#227;o para o estado de assimila&#231;&#227;o e o Estado portugu&#234;s pela educa&#231;&#227;o dos filhos dos assimilados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper aims to document and analyze the educational structures left by Portuguese colonialism in Guinea-Bissau. The analysis is done through performance evaluation of successive periods that were part of educational history. In this analysis, there is the relationship between the Catholic Church and the Portuguese State in the implementation of civilizing mission overlapping an oral culture by European written culture. In this sense, the colonial education, the Catholic Church played a key role in the Guinean docile. The church not only helped in the implementation of educational policy and participated in the legitimization of Portuguese colonialism, sanctioning and sanctifying the civilizing mission and historical function of Portugal. Therefore, the church was responsible for the education of indigenous and its condition for the state of assimilation and the Portuguese State for the education of children of assimilated.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Este trabajo tiene como objetivo documentar y analizar las estructuras educativas dejadas por el colonialismo portugu&#233;s en Guinea-Bissau. El an&#225;lisis se realiza a trav&#233;s de la evaluaci&#243;n del desempe&#241;o de los per&#237;odos sucesivos que formaban parte de la historia de la educaci&#243;n. En este an&#225;lisis, no es la relaci&#243;n entre la Iglesia Cat&#243;lica y el Estado portugu&#233;s en la ejecuci&#243;n de la misi&#243;n civilizadora superposici&#243;n de una cultura oral de la cultura escrita europea. En este sentido, la educaci&#243;n colonial, la Iglesia cat&#243;lica desempe&#241;&#243; un papel clave en la d&#243;cil guineano. La iglesia no s&#243;lo ayud&#243; en la implementaci&#243;n de la pol&#237;tica educativa y tambi&#233;n particip&#243; en la legitimaci&#243;n del colonialismo portugu&#233;s, sancionar y santificar la misi&#243;n civilizadora y la funci&#243;n hist&#243;rica de Portugal. Por lo tanto, la iglesia fue el responsable de la educaci&#243;n de los ind&#237;genas y su condici&#243;n para el estado de la asimilaci&#243;n y el Estado portugu&#233;s para la educaci&#243;n de los hijos de los asimilados.]]></p></abstract>
