O que cabe &#224; escola e ao professor? Apresentam-se algumas respostas poss&#237;veis a partir do pensamento de Hannah Arendt, fil&#243;sofa que desenvolveu uma no&#231;&#227;o conservadora de educa&#231;&#227;o e desvinculada da pol&#237;tica, porque, dentre outras raz&#245;es, para ela, as batalhas pol&#237;ticas, que s&#243; dizem respeito aos adultos, os j&#225; educados, n&#227;o podem ser travadas nos p&#225;tios das escolas, esse espa&#231;o de acolhida aos rec&#233;m-chegados que carregam em si uma novidade absoluta. Com esse fundo te&#243;rico, permeado pela discuss&#227;o do Projeto de Lei &#8220;Escola sem Partido&#8221;, o artigo defende que a educa&#231;&#227;o &#233; direito inalien&#225;vel e que n&#243;s, professores, pela import&#226;ncia civilizat&#243;ria e cultural de nossa tarefa, somos pe&#231;as-chave para o desenvolvimento do pa&#237;s e da humanidade, bem como para a continuidade do mundo, que insiste em sair dos gonzos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: In times of &#8220;Nonpartisan School&#8221;, this paper takes this opportunity to address the following issues: what is the role of education in a society? What should be expected from the school and the teachers? Some answers have become possible by considering the thought of Hannah Arendt, a philosopher who developed a conservative notion of education, one unlinked to politics because, among other reasons, according to her, political battles, which should be a concern for educated adults, should not be fought at the schoolyard, a place that welcomes the newcomers with its total novelty. Grounded on this theoretical basis, and intertwined with the discussion about the &#8220;Nonpartisan School&#8221; Bill, this paper advocates that education is an inalienable right and we, as teachers, due to the civilizing and cultural importance of our work, are key pieces for the development of both the country and humankind, as well as for the continuity of the world, which insists in flying off its hinges.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN  En &#8220;tiempos de Escuela sin Partido&#8221;, el art&#237;culo aprovecha la oportunidad para ocuparse de las cuestiones siguientes: &#191;Cu&#225;l es la funci&#243;n de la educaci&#243;n en la sociedad?; &#191;Qu&#233; cabe a la escuela y al profesor? Presenta algunas respuestas posibles a partir del pensamiento de Hannah Arendt, fil&#243;sofa que desarroll&#243; una noci&#243;n conservadora de educaci&#243;n y desvinculada de la pol&#237;tica, porque, dentro otras razones, para ella, las batallas pol&#237;ticas, que solo dicen respeto a los adultos, los ya educados, no pueden ser trabadas en los patios de las escuelas, ese espacio de acogida a los reci&#233;n llegados que cargan en si una novedad absoluta. Con ese trasfondo te&#243;rico, permeado por la discusi&#243;n del Proyecto de Ley &#8220;Escuela sin Partido&#8221;, el art&#237;culo defiende que la educaci&#243;n es derecho inalienable y que nosotros, los profesores, por la importancia civilizatoria y cultural de nuestra tarea, somos piezas claves para el desarrollo del pa&#237;s y de la humanidad, as&#237; como por la continuidad del mundo que insiste en salir de las bisagras.]]></p></abstract>
