A metodologia, de caráter qualitativo e documental, traz como objeto de coleta de dados os critérios utilizados pela 33ª Bienal de São Paulo 2018 &#8211; Afinidades afetivas, para a contratação de Mediadores Culturais. No desenvolvimento deste estudo, o termo Mediação Cultural é apresentado a partir de conceitos de ética e estética fundamentados em autores como Martins (2012a, 2012b), Gohn (2014), Duarte Jr. (2010), Bauman (2001), Hernández (2009), entre outros. O trabalho do Mediador Cultural requer interação, diálogo, troca, algo cada vez mais difícil na sociedade, denominada por Bauman (2001) como modernidade líquida. Parte-se, então, do pressuposto de que a Educação tem função social e política e, nesse cenário, é preciso afastar a inércia e a frieza relacional, buscando uma atitude de mestre emancipador, conforme nos indica Rancière (2013). Assim sendo, este artigo apresenta a Mediação Cultural como possibilidade para abranger circuitos em potencial para o desenvolvimento de relações de afeto e de atitudes ético-estéticas, esperadas no campo educacional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This paper aims to analyze the Pedagogue&#8217;s field of activity in non-formal education spaces focused on the role of the Cultural Mediator. The methodology, of qualitative and documentary nature, brings as object of data collection the criteria used by the 33rd Biennial of São Paulo 2018 &#8211; Affective Affinities, for the hiring of Cultural Mediators. In the development of this study, the term Cultural Mediation is presented through ethical and aesthetic concepts, based on authors such as Martins (2012a, 2012b), Gohn (2014), Duarte Jr. (2010), Bauman (2001), Hernández (2009), among others. The work of the Cultural Mediator requires interaction, dialogue, exchange, something increasingly difficult in the society called by Bauman as liquid modernity. We start from the assumption that Education has a social and political function and, in this scenario, we must eliminate inertia and relational coldness, seeking an attitude of emancipator master, as Rancière (2013) tell us. Thus, this text presents Cultural Mediation as a possibility to cover potential circuits for the development of affective relations and ethical and aesthetic attitudes expected in the educational field.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el campo de actuación del Pedagogo en espacios de educación no formal con foco en la función de Mediador Cultural. La metodología, de carácter cualitativo y documental, trae como objeto de recolección de datos los criterios utilizados por la 33ª Bienal de São Paulo 2018 &#8211; Afinidades afectivas, para la contratación de Mediadores Culturales. En el desarrollo de este estudio, el término Mediación Cultural se presenta a partir de conceptos éticos y estéticos, fundamentándose en autores como Martins (2012a, 2012b), Gohn (2014), Duarte Jr. (2010), Bauman (2001), Hernández (2009), entre otros. El trabajo del Mediador Cultural requiere interacción, diálogo, intercambio, algo cada vez más difícil en la sociedad denominada Bauman como modernidad neta. Partimos del supuesto de que la Educación tiene función social y política y en ese escenario hay que alejar la inercia y la frialdad relacional, buscando la actitud de mestre emancipador, como nos diz Rancière (2013). Y presentamos la Mediación Cultural como posibilidad para abarcar circuitos potenciales para el desarrollo de relaciones de afecto, actitudes ético-estéticas esperadas en el campo educativo.]]></p></abstract>
