Desse modo, escolhemos como objeto desta pesquisa a formação dos docentes de um curso de Medicina Veterinária ofertado em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior (IES) pública, objetivando investigar o percurso formativo dos professores para o exercício da docência universitária. O referencial teórico basilar foi constituído pelos estudos de Pimenta e Almeida (2009), Costa (2007), Cunha (2006), Prates Barbosa (2003), dentre outros. A pesquisa de abordagem quali e quanti aliou-se ao estudo de caso e às técnicas de coleta de dados bibliográfica e documental, atentando para as indicações da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases (Lei Nº 9.394/1996) e do Projeto Pedagógico do Curso, com o intuito de analisar o currículo Lattes de 61 docentes. Os dados apontaram que, na formação inicial acadêmica dos professores de Medicina Veterinária, prevalecem os cursos de bacharelado, com 50 docentes doutores, e a oferta de cursos de formação contínua chancelados pela IES pesquisada, bem como a disseminação de políticas internas destinadas ao desenvolvimento profissional dos docentes da instituição.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Teacher education has been the object of research in Brazil and other countries. Thus, we chose as object of this research the training of professors of a Veterinary Medicine course offered at a public Higher Education Institution (HEI), aiming to investigate the formative path of professors for the University teaching exercise. The main theoretical framework consisted of studies conducted by Pimenta and Almeida (2009), Costa (2007), Cunha (2006), Prates and Barbosa (2003), among others. The research of Quali and Quanti approach allied to the case study and the techniques of bibliographic and documentary data collection, paying attention to the indications of the National Education Guidelines and Framework Law (Law no. 9,394/1996) and the Pedagogical Master Plan of the course, in order to analyze the Lattes curriculum of 61 professors. The data showed that in the initial academic training of the professors of Veterinary Medicine prevail the Bachelor&#8217;s courses, with 50 PhD professors and the offer of continuing education courses supported by the researched HEI, as well as the dissemination of internal policies aimed at the professional development of the faculty of the institution.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN La formación de profesores ha sido objeto de investigación en Brasil y en otros países. Por lo tanto, elegimos como objeto de esta investigación la formación de los docentes de un curso de Medicina Veterinaria ofrecido en una Institución de Educación Superior (IES) pública, con el objetivo de investigar el camino formativo de los profesores para el ejercicio de la docencia universitaria. El marco teórico basilar fue constituido por estudios de Pimenta y Almeida (2009), Costa (2007), Cunha (2006), Prates y Barbosa (2003), entre otros. La investigación de enfoque de cuali y cuanti se unió al estudio de caso y a las técnicas de recopilación de datos bibliográfica y documental, prestando atención a las indicaciones de la LDB (Ley Nº 9.394/1996) y del Proyecto Pedagógico del Curso, con intención de analizar el currículo de Lattes de 61 docentes. Los datos mostraron que, en la formación académica inicial de los profesores de Medicina Veterinaria, prevalecen los cursos de Licenciatura, con 50 docentes doctores y la oferta de cursos de formación continua de la IES investigada, así como la difusión de políticas internas destinadas al desarrollo profesional de los docentes de la institución.]]></p></abstract>
