Em diálogo com autores da tradição marxiana, bem como com pesquisadores dedicados à temática da juventude, são examinados dados de questionários e entrevistas com esses alunos. Constatou-se que os jovens reconhecem a importância da escola para seus projetos de vida, contudo apontam para a necessidade de outra dinâmica no interior da escola. Querem ser mais ouvidos, partilhar suas dúvidas e incertezas com os professores. Mesmo realizando um curso técnico, predomina entre eles o interesse em chegar ao ensino superior. Indicam os professores como a maior interferência da escola em seus projetos de vida.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The results of a survey conducted in a school in the state of Pernambuco are presented, aiming to analyze the importance that young people in high school attach to the school for the construction and implementation of their life projects. In dialogue with authors from the Marxian tradition, as well as researchers dedicated to the theme of youth, data from questionnaires and interviews with these students are analyzed. It was found that young people recognize the importance of school for their life projects, however, they point to the need for another dynamic within the school. They want to be heard more, share their doubts and uncertainties with teachers. Even taking a technical course, interest in reaching higher education predominates among them. They indicate teachers as the greatest interference of the school in their life projects.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Se presentan los resultados de una encuesta realizada en una escuela del estado de Pernambuco, con el objetivo de analizar la importancia que los jóvenes de la escuela secundaria otorgan a la escuela para la construcción e implementación de sus proyectos de vida. En diálogo con autores de tradición marxista, así como investigadores dedicados al tema de la juventud, se analizan datos de cuestionarios y entrevistas a estos estudiantes. Se encontró que los jóvenes reconocen la importancia de la escuela para sus proyectos de vida, sin embargo, señalan la necesidad de otra dinámica dentro de la escuela. Quieren ser escuchados más, compartir sus dudas e incertidumbres con los profesores. Incluso cursando un curso técnico, predomina entre ellos el interés por llegar a la educación superior.
