Tal processo pode ser enriquecido a partir da conexão com os debates em países africanos acerca da crítica ao eurocentrismo. No artigo, apresentamos resultados de pesquisa de pós-doutorado e discutimos: a) sobre a crítica a preponderância do eurocentrismo; b) se as Histórias e Culturas construídas pelos/as próprios/as africanos/as integram os seus currículos e c) os desafios das políticas curriculares na África do Sul e em Moçambique para a incorporação de Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS). Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, utilizamos autores/as como Dei, Gomes, Mapara, Nhalevilo e Shizha. Concluímos que há dificuldades para que tais conhecimentos integrem os currículos devido à permanência da percepção de deslegitimidade desses em relação aos conhecimentos de base eurocêntrica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In Brazil, for the implementation of Law nº 10.639/2003, it is essential the decolonization of curricula. This process can be enriched from the connection with the debates in African countries about the critique of the hegemony of Eurocentrism. In the article, we will present postdoctoral research results and discuss: a) about the critique of the preponderance of Eurocentrism; b) whether the Histories and Cultures constructed by the Africans themselves integrate their curricula and c) the challenges of curriculum policies in South Africa and Mozambique for the incorporation of Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS). Through bibliographical research, we used authors such as Dei, Gomes, Mapara, Nhalevilo and Shizha. We conclude that there are difficulties for such knowledge to be part of the curricula due to the permanence of the perception of their lack of legitimacy in relation to Eurocentric knowledge.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En Brasil, para la implementación de la Ley nº 10.639/2003 es fundamental la descolonización de los planes de estudio. Este proceso puede enriquecerse a partir de la conexión con los debates en los países africanos sobre la crítica a la hegemonía del eurocentrismo. En el artículo presentaremos los resultados de la investigación postdoctoral y discutiremos: a) sobre la crítica a la preponderancia del eurocentrismo; b) si las Historias y Culturas construidas por los propios africanos integran sus currículos y c) los desafíos de las políticas curriculares en Sudáfrica y Mozambique para la incorporación de Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS). A través de la investigación bibliográfica, utilizamos autores como Dei, Gomes, Mapara, Nhalevilo y Shizha. Concluimos que existen dificultades para que dichos conocimientos formen parte de los planes de estudio debido a la permanencia de la percepción de su falta de legitimidad en relación con los saberes eurocéntricos.]]></p></abstract>
