Contudo, elaborar um currículo que apresente uma ruptura com as relações de poder vigentes na sociedade e trabalhe a educação das relações étnico-raciais é um desafio. Esta pesquisa buscou explorar os avanços alcançados quanto à inserção da temática étnico-racial nos currículos dos cursos de formação inicial de professores de Ciências ofertados em instituições de ensino superior públicas, localizadas em Alagoas. Na fundamentação teórica, aspectos relacionados à educação e relações étnico-raciais foram abordados, assim como as teorias curriculares e as formas de inserção da temática racial no ensino de Ciências. A metodologia utilizada foi baseada na análise de conteúdo. Observou-se que os currículos analisados abordavam de forma incipiente e fragmentada as questões étnico-raciais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Education plays an important role in overcoming latent racism in Brazil. However, elaborating a curriculum that presents a rupture with the current power relations in society and works on the education of ethnic-racial relations is a challenge. This research sought to explore the advances achieved regarding the insertion of the ethnic-racial theme in the curricula of initial training courses for Science teachers offered in public higher education institutions, located in Alagoas. In the theoretical foundation, aspects related to education and ethnic-racial relations were addressed, as well as curricular theories and ways of inserting the racial theme in the teaching of Science. The methodology used was based on content analysis. It was observed that the analyzed curricula approached ethnic-racial issues in an incipient and fragmented way.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La educación juega un papel importante en la superación del racismo latente en Brasil. Sin embargo, elaborar un currículo que presente una ruptura con las relaciones de poder actuales en la sociedad y trabaje en la educación de las relaciones étnico-raciales es un desafío. Esta investigación buscó explorar los avances logrados en cuanto a la inserción del tema étnico-racial en los planes de estudio de los cursos de formación inicial para profesores de Ciencias que se ofrecen en las instituciones públicas de educación superior, ubicadas en Alagoas. En la fundamentación teórica se abordaron aspectos relacionados con la educación y las relaciones étnico-raciales, así como teorías curriculares y formas de insertar el tema racial en la enseñanza de la ciencia. La metodología utilizada se basó en el análisis de contenido. Se observó que los currículos analizados abordan temas étnico-raciales de manera incipiente y fragmentada.]]></p></abstract>
