O movimento "pesquisas cient&#237;ficas baseadas em evid&#234;ncias" auto proclama-se apto para elevar a pesquisa educacional ao n&#237;vel cient&#237;fico e tece severas cr&#237;ticas &#224; produ&#231;&#227;o cient&#237;fica na &#225;rea, tendo como suposto a validade exemplar das pesquisas experimentais para alcan&#231;ar o foro cient&#237;fico e conduzir as pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas para a educa&#231;&#227;o com fundamento em evid&#234;ncias cient&#237;ficas. O movimento admite um modelo exemplar das pesquisas derivadas da &#225;rea m&#233;dica e adota as pesquisas experimentais e quase-experimentais como padr&#227;o &#250;nico de investiga&#231;&#227;o, de extra&#231;&#227;o positivista, desconhecendo os avan&#231;os das pesquisas qualitativas em ci&#234;ncias humanas e na educa&#231;&#227;o.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper analyzes a movement of criticism towards humanities and educational research. The 'evidence-based scientific research' movement proclaims itself fit to raise the educational research to scientific level and criticizes severely the scientific production in the area, on the presumption of the exemplary validity of experimental research to achieve scientific forum and conduct public policies for education on the basis of scientific evidence. The movement admits an exemplary model of the research derived from the medical area and adopts the experimental and quasi-experimental research as single pattern of investigation, of positivist extraction, unaware of the advances of qualitative research in the humanities and in education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Este art&#237;culo analiza un movimiento de cr&#237;ticas a la investigaci&#243;n em ciencias humanas y a las investigaciones educacionales. El movimiento "investigaciones cient&#237;ficas basadas en evidencias" se autoproclama apto como para alzar la investigaci&#243;n educacional al nivel cient&#237;fico y teje severas cr&#237;ticas a la producci&#243;n cient&#237;fica en el &#225;rea, teniendo como supuesto la validez ejemplar de las investigaciones experimentales para acceder al foro cient&#237;fico y conducir las pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas para la educaci&#243;n con fundamento en evidencias cient&#237;ficas. El movimiento admite un modelo ejemplar de las investigaciones derivadas del &#225;rea m&#233;dica y adopta las investigaciones experimentales y casi-experimentales como patr&#243;n &#250;nico de investigaci&#243;n, de extracci&#243;n positivista, desconociendo los avances de las investigaciones cualitativas en ciencias humanas y en la educaci&#243;n.]]></p></abstract>
