En este sentido, se sostiene la hip&#243;tesis que la privatizaci&#243;n neoliberal de la educaci&#243;n en Chile requiere haber ocurrido de manera invisible a los intentos por escrutarla p&#250;blicamente y, antes bien, la eficacia de su funcionamiento depende de haber hecho innecesario explicar por qu&#233; lo hace. Con el objetivo de respaldar tal hip&#243;tesis, el art&#237;culo comienza explicando las razones para sostenerla, describe algunos intentos de clasificaci&#243;n de procesos de privatizaci&#243;n, examina los criterios utilizados para una taxonom&#237;a de diversas formas o modalidades de privatizaci&#243;n, as&#237; como para distinguir a &#233;sta de procesos como los de comercializaci&#243;n (marketizaci&#243;n), y concluye con algunas consideraciones acerca de los efectos de largo plazo suscitados por los procesos de privatizaci&#243;n educativa en la sociedad chilena y la &#237;ndole del esfuerzo que supone detenerlos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This paper presents and develops the hypothesis that a neoliberal privatization process, as in the case of the Chilean education, was installed and experienced without any theoretical research supporting it and this situation has guaranteed the condition and effect of its process. Therefore, we investigate the hypothesis that the neoliberal privatization of education in Chile was imposed, in an invisible manner, without being publicly discussed by those involved in education, since this was the condition that guaranteed the efficiency of its implementation without having to clarify how it worked. To develop such hypothesis, the paper starts explaining the reasons of this procedure and examines the criteria used to create a taxonomy of privatization modalities in which a distinction is presented between this privatization process and commercialization processes. Its conclusion puts forward some considerations about the long-term effects promoted by the privatization process in education in the Chilean society and in the quality of the alleged effort made to stop it.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: O artigo apresenta e desenvolve a hip&#243;tese de que um processo de privatiza&#231;&#227;o neoliberal, como foi o caso provado na educa&#231;&#227;o chilena, foi institu&#237;do e vivenciado sem que acontecessem pesquisas te&#243;ricas que o sustentassem e esse fato tem garantido a condi&#231;&#227;o e o efeito do seu processo. Assim, sustenta-se a hip&#243;tese de que a privatiza&#231;&#227;o neoliberal da educa&#231;&#227;o no Chile foi imposta de forma invis&#237;vel, sem que se ouvissem publicamente as partes interessadas. Essa foi a condi&#231;&#227;o que garantiu sua efici&#234;ncia: a falta de clareza sobre seu funcionamento. Para amparar essa hip&#243;tese, o artigo inicia explicando as raz&#245;es para essa sustenta&#231;&#227;o e examina os crit&#233;rios utilizados para uma taxonomia para as modalidades de privatiza&#231;&#227;o em que se faz a distin&#231;&#227;o entre esta e processos de comercializa&#231;&#227;o. Conclui-se com algumas considera&#231;&#245;es sobre os efeitos promovidos, em longo prazo, pelos processos de privatiza&#231;&#227;o da educa&#231;&#227;o na sociedade chilena e a qualidade do suposto esfor&#231;o despendido para fre&#225;-lo.]]></p></abstract>
