Cet article interroge la participation des acteurs de l&#8217;EPS à une mission qui dépasse une réflexion strictement disciplinaire : la lutte contre le décrochage scolaire. Depuis 1981, une analyse de contenu des articles de la revue EP.S a été menée et a été enrichie par une analyse statistique des données textuelles des principaux textes officiels régissant la discipline. Seuls six articles de la revue traitent de la problématique du décrochage scolaire et aucun texte disciplinaire ne fait le lien entre décrochage scolaire et l&#8217;enseignement obligatoire de l&#8217;EPS. Les résultats de ces analyses croisées montrent que la problématique du décrochage scolaire, reste durant cette période, une mission scolaire oubliée des discours institutionnels et des pratiques professionnelles innovantes en EPS. Depuis 1981, la discipline EPS semble ancrée dans une logique disciplinaire contraignant l&#8217;engagement de ses acteurs dans des problématiques scolaires plus larges. Ces résultats interrogent la capacité des praticiens et des législateurs d&#8217;une discipline corporelle à répondre aux défis scolaires du moment.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract When the French Ministry of National Education was reintegrated in 1981, Physical Education (PE) actors were assigned new missions. This article examines the participation of PE actors in a mission which surpasses disciplinary reflection: fighting against dropping out of school. Since 1981, a descriptive analysis of the &#8220;revue EP.S&#8221;&#8217;s articles was conducted and was enriched by a statistical analysis of textual data from the main curricular discipline. Only 6 articles focus on the problem of school drop-out, and no disciplinary text links school drop-out to compulsory education in PE. These results showed the problem of dropping out of school remains a school mission forgotten by PE stakeholders during this period. Since 1981, PE actors seem to have been anchored in a disciplinary logic that places limitations on the involvement of its actors in broader school issues. Implications questioned both the contribution of PE knowledge to school missions over the past forty years and the ability of those involved in a physical discipline to respond to current school challenges.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Al reincorporarse al Ministerio de Educación Nacional en 1981, se encomendaron nuevas misiones a los actores de la Educación Física. Este artículo cuestiona la participación de los actores de la Educación Física en una misión que va más allá de una reflexión estrictamente disciplinar: la lucha contra la deserción escolar. Se realizó un análisis de contenido de los artículos de la revista EP.S desde 1981, enriquecido con un análisis estadístico de los datos textuales de los principales documentos oficiales que rigen la disciplina. Solo seis artículos trataron el tema de la deserción escolar y ningún texto hizo una conexión entre la deserción escolar y la Educación Física obligatoria. Los resultados de estos análisis cruzados muestran que durante este período el problema de la deserción escolar permaneció como una misión escolar olvidada por los discursos institucionales y las prácticas profesionales innovadoras en Educación Física. Desde 1981, la disciplina de Educación Física parece estar anclada en una lógica disciplinar, restringiendo el compromiso de sus actores a cuestiones escolares más amplias. Estos resultados cuestionan la capacidad de docentes y legisladores de disciplina corporal para responder a los desafíos escolares actuales.]]></p></abstract>

Este artigo questiona a participação dos atores da Educação Física em uma missão que vai além de uma reflexão estritamente disciplinar: o combate à evasão escolar. Foi realizada uma análise de conteúdo dos artigos da revue EP.S desde o ano de 1981, enriquecida por uma análise estatística dos dados textuais dos principais documentos oficiais que regem a disciplina. Apenas seis artigos trataram da questão da evasão escolar e nenhum texto fez uma ligação entre a evasão escolar e a obrigatoriedade da Educação Física. Os resultados dessas análises cruzadas mostram que nesse período o problema da evasão escolar permaneceu como uma missão escolar esquecida pelos discursos institucionais e práticas profissionais inovadoras em Educação Física. Desde 1981, a disciplina de Educação Física parece ancorada em uma lógica disciplinar, constrangendo o comprometimento de seus atores em questões escolares mais amplas.
