O objetivo é explicitar características psíquicas da atenção voluntária externa e possíveis implicações para a educação escolar de crianças dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. As funções psíquicas possuem uma história de formação, tendo as relações sociais como componente necessário, por meio de internalizações de signos que formam capacidades internas autocontroladas. A atenção voluntária externa é marcada pelo trânsito de signos externos à condição intrapsíquica de uma atenção voluntária interna em formação. Como resultado, conclui-se que crianças nessa fase dependem da condução do/a professor/a para conseguirem ativa e voluntariamente levar ações/atividades de estudo adiante, até que se atinja os objetivos de ensino, mostrando-se como um aspecto relevante do planejamento pedagógico nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Asbtract This is a theoretic-bibliographical study on the attentional development process, more specifically on external voluntary attention, according to the Cultural-Historical Psychology and its critique of the medicalization of education. The objective is to explain the psychic characteristics of voluntary external attention and possible implications for the school education of children in the early grades of Elementary School. Psychic functions have a history of formation, with social relationships as a necessary component, through internalizations of signs that form self-controlled internal capacities. External voluntary attention is marked by the transit of external signs to the intrapsychic condition of an internal voluntary attention in formation. As a result, it is concluded that children at this stage depend on the teacher&#8217;s guidance to be able to actively and voluntarily carry out study actions/activities, until the teaching objectives are reached, proving to be a relevant aspect of pedagogical planning in the early grades of Elementary School.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este es un estudio teórico-bibliográfico sobre el proceso de desarrollo atencional, más específicamente sobre la atención voluntaria externa, según la Psicología Histórico-Cultural y su crítica a la medicalización de la educación. El objetivo es explicar características psíquicas de la atención voluntaria externa y posibles implicaciones para la educación escolar de los niños en los primeros años de la Enseñanza Primaria. Las funciones psíquicas poseen una historia de formación, teniendo las relaciones sociales como componente necesario, por medio de interiorizaciones de signos que forman capacidades internas autocontroladas. La atención voluntaria externa está marcada por el tránsito de signos externos a la condición intrapsíquica de una atención voluntaria interna en formación. Como resultado, se concluye que los niños en esta fase dependen de la conducción del/la profesor/a para poder realizar activa y voluntariamente acciones/actividades de estudio, hasta que se alcancen los objetivos de enseñanza, mostrándose como un aspecto relevante de la planificación pedagógica en los años iniciales de la Escuela Primaria.]]></p></abstract>
