O estudo foi realizado, por meio de pesquisa aplicada, qualitativa e descritiva com procedimentos bibliográficos, documental e de campo. Utilizou-se, como técnica de pesquisa, o estudo de caso instrumental e, para a análise dos dados, foi utilizada a técnica de análise de conteúdo. A partir da investigação desenvolvida, foi possível concluir que: (a) a formação para a docência universitária demanda investimento em formação pedagógica e que, para tanto, há necessidade de sensibilidade docente para adquirir novos conhecimentos; (b) existe a necessidade de que os professores adquiram conhecimentos específicos da Educação Especial; e (c) a formação continuada em serviço constitui-se em um espaço importante para a reflexão e a ressignificação da prática docente de modo a favorecer a inclusão.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents an analysis of the teaching knowledge mobilized by the teachers of the Specialized Educational Service at the Center for Human Sciences and Education of the Santa Catarina State University. The study was carried out through applied, qualitative and descriptive research with bibliographic, documentary and field procedures. The instrumental case study was used as a research technique and, for data analysis, the content analysis technique was used. Based on the research carried out, it was possible to conclude that: (a) training for university teaching demands investment in pedagogical training and, for that, there is a need for teaching sensitivity to acquire new knowledge; (b) there is a need for teachers to acquire specific knowledge of Special Education; and (c) continuing education in service constitutes an important space for reflection and re-signification of the teaching practice in order to favor inclusion.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo presenta un análisis de los saberes docentes movilizados por los profesores de Atención Educativa Especializada en el Centro de Ciencias Humanas y de la Educación de la Universidad del Estado de Santa Catarina. El estudio fue realizado, por medio de investigación aplicada, cualitativa y descriptiva con procedimientos bibliográficos, documental y de campo. Se utilizó, como técnica de investigación, el estudio de caso instrumental y, para el análisis de los datos, fue utilizada la técnica de análisis de contenido. A partir de la investigación desarrollada, fue posible concluir que: (a) la formación para la docencia universitaria demanda inversión en formación pedagógica y que, para ello, hay necesidad de sensibilidad docente para adquirir nuevos conocimientos; (b) existe la necesidad de que los profesores adquieran conocimientos específicos de Educación Especial; y (c) la formación continua en función se constituye en un espacio importante para la reflexión y la resignificación de la práctica docente de modo a favorecer la inclusión.]]></p></abstract>
