Examina cómo se integran la enseñanza y el ejercicio del cuidado en las prácticas cotidianas de educadoras y técnicas. Metodológicamente, usa un enfoque cualitativo y etnográfico, recogiendo datos a través de entrevistas en profundidad y observación participante en seis centros educativos de tres regiones de Chile. Se realizaron 30 entrevistas y 72 observaciones, analizando los datos mediante ejes temático, combinando codificación deductiva e inductiva. Los resultados revelan que las profesionales integran aspectos de la ESI para abordar el cuidado, incluyendo la perspectiva de derechos, autocuidado, límites e intimidad; el cuidado del cuerpo, afectividad, vínculos y expresión de emociones. Se concluye que la ESI desde la primera infancia es una oportunidad para transformar la organización social del cuidado y promover una sociedad más inclusiva, respetuosa y equitativa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This study examines Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) in early childhood education as an essential approach for the well-being of children and care. It explores how teaching and the practice of care are integrated into the daily routines of educators and assistant. Methodologically, it employs a qualitative and ethnographic approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews and participant observation in six educational centres across three regions of Chile. A total of 30 interviews and 72 observations were conducted, with data analysed through thematic axes, combining both deductive and inductive coding. The results reveal that participants incorporate aspects of CSE to address care, including the perspective of rights, self-care, boundaries, and intimacy; the care of the body, affectivity, relationships, and the expression of emotions. It concludes that CSE from early childhood presents an opportunity to transform the social organisation of care and promote a more inclusive, respectful, and equitable society.]]></p></abstract>
