Trata-se de uma Pesquisa-Ação Existencial, realizada com dez crianças, entre quatro e 14 anos de idade, acolhidas pela Casa Lar no período de julho a dezembro de 2021. Os dados foram produzidos por meio de diário de campo, fotografias, desenhos e enunciações das crianças, provenientes das relações pedagógicas estabelecidas com elas no ensino da capoeira. São analisados, à luz dos pressupostos da Sociologia da Educação e da Infância, bem como dos Estudos com o Cotidiano, quatro episódios em que as crianças tiveram suas agências valorizadas nas relações que estabeleceram com a prática da capoeira na cidade, evidenciando positivamente um modelo de cidadania em que os sujeitos são capazes de pensar e agir sobre si.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article analyzes socio-educational work with children in social care, mediated by capoeira [Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines dance, music, and play], which sought to promote their claimed citizenship in the urban context. This is an Existential Action Research study carried out with ten children, between four and 14 years old, residing in a Casa Lar [residential group home for children in protective custody] from July to December 2021. Data were produced through field diaries, photographs, drawings, and children&#8217;s statements, emerging from the pedagogical relationships established with them in the teaching of capoeira. Based on the assumptions of the Sociology of Education and Childhood, as well as Everyday Life Studies, four episodes are analyzed in which the children&#8217;s agency was valued through their relationships with the practice of capoeira in the city, positively highlighting a model of citizenship in which subjects are capable of thinking and acting for themselves.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En este artículo se analiza el trabajo socioeducativo con niños en situación de acogimiento institucional, mediado por la capoeira [arte marcial afrobrasileño que combina danza, música y juego], que buscó promover la ciudadanía reclamada de ellos en el contexto de la ciudad. Se trata de una Investigación-Acción Existencial, realizada con diez niños de entre cuatro y 14 años de edad, acogidos en una Casa Lar [hogar de acogida grupal donde los niños permanecen temporalmente hasta la adopción u otras medidas] entre julio y diciembre de 2021. Los datos se produjeron mediante diario de campo, fotografías, dibujos y enunciaciones de los niños, provenientes de las relaciones pedagógicas establecidas con ellos en la enseñanza de la capoeira. El análisis, a la luz de los presupuestos de la Sociología de la Educación y de la Infancia, así como de los Estudios del Cotidiano, se centra en cuatro episodios en los que se valoró la agencia de los niños en las relaciones que establecieron con la práctica de la capoeira en la ciudad, evidenciando positivamente un modelo de ciudadanía en el que los sujetos son capaces de pensar y actuar sobre sí mismos.]]></p></abstract>
