Para tanto, toma como referência o conjunto de investigações que vêm sendo realizadas pelo Grupo de Pesquisa: Relações entre o Público e o Privado na Educação (GPRPPE/UFRGS), bem como, a análise de publicações das organizações empresariais nos seus sítios eletrônicos e na imprensa. As pesquisas nos países da América Latina têm apontado que a privatização ou influência do setor privado pode ocorrer de distintas formas, seja através da execução, através da venda de serviços ou da gestão das escolas, seja através da disputa de direção sobre os conteúdos da política educacional e das escolas, bem como, a influência na elaboração de leis e regulamentações nas casas legislativas. Entende-se este processo como parte da disputa de hegemonia de concepções de sociedade, com suas decorrências para os projetos educacionais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article aims to identify and analyze the private enterprises' role in the State schools in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, and Chile, in the most recent context. The research work described here is based on a set of investigations developed by a research group named: Relationship between Public and Private Organizations in the Educational System - GPRPPE/UFRGS and the analysis of some private organizations' documentation found out in their websites and the press. The research results point out that the educational system can be privatized in different ways, such as: contracting out for services or school management, defining the educational curricula, or establishing the policy for schools. Moreover, some private enterprises have influenced the houses of representatives in proposing laws and regulations related to the educational system. In conclusion, it is understandable that the privatization process of Latin American countries is an effort for the hegemony over the conception of society in which the educational system is a part.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Este artículo propone como objetivo identificar y analizar la actuación de las empresas privadas en la educación pública en Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Venezuela y Chile, en el contexto más reciente. El trabajo de investigación discutido aquí toma como referencia el conjunto de las investigaciones desarrolladas por el Grupo de Pesquisa titulado Relaciones entre el Público y el Privado en la Educación (GPRPPE/UFRGS), así como, el análisis de publicaciones de las organizaciones empresariales en sus sitios electrónicos y en la prensa. Las investigaciones han señalado que la privatización o influencia del sector privado puede ocurrir de distintas formas: la oferta de servicios o gestión de las escuelas, la definición de los contenidos curriculares o al establecer políticas educacionales. Además de eso, algunas empresas consiguen influenciar los trabajos de las instituciones legislativas en la elaboración de leyes y regulaciones relativas al sistema educacional. En conclusión, se puede decir que el proceso de privatización en los países de América Latina compone la disputa por hegemonía en los proyectos de sociedad de la cual el sistema educacional forma parte.]]></p></abstract>
