O recorte aqui proposto se debruça sobre a formação de professores para os anos iniciais de escolarização, tendo como locus de investigação três países fronteiriços: Argentina, Brasil e Paraguai. Com uma abordagem qualitativa, a investigação tem na pesquisa documental sua principal fonte de dados, analisada em diálogo com a produção da área sobre a temática. Consideram-se as similaridades históricas entre os países analisados, decorrentes de sua formação colonial e de sua inserção no mercado internacional em caráter periférico. A investigação parte do questionamento sobre os modelos formativos dos professores dos anos iniciais de escolarização, obrigatória nos três países. Constata-se nas últimas décadas um avanço das políticas neoliberais sobre as políticas educacionais, seja na América Latina ou em países centrais. No caso da formação docente, observa-se que permanecem nestes países características próximas, com escolaridade obrigatória para além dos anos iniciais de escolarização e a definição de variadas possibilidades para a formação dos professores dos anos iniciais de escolarização com crescente presença de entes privados para esta oferta.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article is part of a network research called "Basic Education in Latin American Countries", which is dedicated to the investigation of different educational policies developed in several countries, focusing on the Mercosur members. The cut proposed here focuses on teacher education for the early years of schooling, with three frontier countries as the loci of investigation: Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. With a qualitative approach, the investigation has in the documentary research its main source of data, analyzed in dialogue with the production of the area on the theme. We consider the historical similarities between the countries analyzed, resulting from their colonial formation and their insertion in the international market on a peripheral basis. The research starts by questioning the training models for teachers of the initial years of compulsory education in the three countries. In the last decades, neoliberal policies have advanced over educational policies, both in Latin America and in central countries. In the case of teacher education, it can be observed that the characteristics of these countries remain similar, with compulsory schooling beyond the initial years of schooling and the definition of various possibilities for the early years teachers education with a growing presence of private entities for this supply.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El trabajo en cuestión se deriva de la investigación en red denominada &#8220;La educación básica en países de América Latina&#8221;, que se dedica a la investigación de diferentes políticas educativas desarrolladas en distintos países, con enfoque en los miembros del Mercosur. El recorte que aquí se propone se centra en la formación de docentes para los años iniciales de escolaridad, teniendo como lócus de investigación tres países limítrofes: Argentina, Brasil y Paraguay. Con un abordaje cualitativo, la investigación tiene como principal fuente de datos la investigación documental, analizada en diálogo con la producción del área sobre el tema. Se consideran las similitudes históricas entre los países analizados, tras su formación colonial y su inserción periférica en el mercado internacional. La investigación parte del cuestionamiento sobre los modelos de formación del profesorado en los primeros años de escolaridad, que es obligatoria en los tres países. Constatamos que en las últimas décadas se ha producido un avance de las políticas neoliberales sobre políticas educativas, ya sea en América Latina o en los países centrales. En el caso de la formación docente, se observa que permanecen en estos países características similares, con la educación obligatoria más allá de los años iniciales de escolaridad y la definición de diversas posibilidades para la formación del profesorado en los primeros años de escolaridad, con una presencia creciente de entidades privadas para esta oferta.]]></p></abstract>
