A partir desse cenário, analisam-se seis obras selecionadas no PNBE 2008 a 2012 para integrar o acervo da Educação Infantil e dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Continham elas narrativas em prosa, histórias em quadrinhos, imagens ou poemas. A análise mostrou a continuidade de tendências já identificadas em outros estudos, como a exploração de narrativas orais indígenas, sintetizadas e apresentadas como contos, lendas e mitos populares, fazendo alusão à contribuição dos diferentes povos para a identidade e cultura nacional; a apresentação de uma íntima articulação entre índio e natureza e uma preocupação em ensinar acerca da cultura e de peculiaridades do ser índio.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The work draws on reflections about the increasing Indigenous populations in the social panorama and about including the Indigenous themes in the Brazilian children’s literature. Based on this scenery, we have analysed six works PNBE selected in 2008 and 2012 to make up the collection of the initial years in the primary school and childhood education. The works included prose narratives, comic books, and picture and poem narratives. The analysis showed the continuity of trends other studies have already found, such as the exploration of Indigenous oral narratives synthesised and presented as short stories, folktales and popular myths, making allusion to different peoples’ contribution for national identity and culture; showed the close relation between the Indigenous and nature and the preoccupation of teaching about the Indigenous culture and peculiarities.]]></p></abstract>
