Ils correspondent largement aux exigences méthodologiques de deux champs de recherche qui ont une forte filiation épistémologique, les représentations et la mémoire sociales. Notre article s’inscrit dans cette problématique et tient à mettre en évidence la fécondité de cette articulation à travers une étude de terrain centrée sur un conflit symbolique dans les Balkans entre la Grèce et la République de Macédoine, “l’affaire macédonienne”, mettant en jeu l’histoire la mémoire et les exigences conventionnelles du présent dans un processus de défense des significations imaginaires nationales.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Os grupos focais são espaços de comunicação que permitem observar as interações, as memórias e as representações em processo. Eles correspondem em grande medida às exigências metodológicas de dois campos de pesquisa que têm uma forte filiação epistemológica: a memória e as representações sociais. Nosso artigo se insere nessa problemática e procura destacar a fecundidade dessa articulação por meio de um estudo de campo centrado no conflito simbólico nos Balcãs, entre a Grécia e a República da Macedônia, ‘o caso macedônico’, colocando em jogo a história, a memória e as exigências convencionais do presente em um processo de defesa dos significados imaginários nacionais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Focus groups are spaces of communication that allow us to observe the interactions, the memories and representations in the process. They correspond largely to the methodological requirements of two research fields that have a strong affiliation epistemological: the memory and social representation. Our article is part of this problem and seeks to highlight the fruitfulness of this joint through a field study focused on the symbolic conflict in the Balkans, between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia, “Macedonian case”, putting the history, memory and requirements of this conventional defense in a process of national imaginary meanings.]]></p></abstract>
