Diagnostica, ap&#243;s estudo te&#243;rico, os principais elementos do programa institucional constitutivo da escolariza&#231;&#227;o, seus limites e seu decl&#237;nio, e encerra com a identifica&#231;&#227;o de tr&#234;s quest&#245;es em aberto para a pesquisa em Sociologia da Educa&#231;&#227;o, a saber: quanto aos novos contornos da forma escolar; &#224; justi&#231;a social e ao enfrentamento das contradi&#231;&#245;es internas da escola; ao reconhecimento cultural e &#224; capacidade de tais institui&#231;&#245;es em responder as quest&#245;es de nosso tempo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article aims to analyze the relationship between schooling and social inequalities, seeking to discuss the dilemmas that make up the social justice in mediations between school practices and social processes. Diagnoses after theoretical study, the main elements of the constitutive institutional program of schooling, its limits and its decline, and ends with the identification of three open questions for research in Sociology of Education: the new contours of school form; social justice and the confrontation of the internal contradictions of school; cultural recognition and the ability of such institutions to respond to the questions of our time.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este art&#237;culo tiene como objetivo analizar la relaci&#243;n entre la escolarizaci&#243;n y las desigualdades sociales, tratando de discutir los dilemas que componen la justicia social en las mediaciones entre las pr&#225;cticas escolares y los procesos sociales. Observa, despu&#233;s estudio bibliogr&#225;fico, los principales elementos del programa institucional constitutivo de la escolarizaci&#243;n, sus l&#237;mites y su declive, y termina con la identificaci&#243;n de tres preguntas abiertas para la investigaci&#243;n en Sociolog&#237;a de la Educaci&#243;n, a saber: en los nuevos contornos de forma de la escuela; la justicia social y la confrontaci&#243;n de las contradicciones internas de la escuela; reconocimiento cultural y la capacidad de estas instituciones para responder a las preguntas de nuestro tiempo.]]></p></abstract>
