Se fazem presentes as dimensões atitudinais e éticas uma vez que a experiência da docência se constrói lado a lado com os e as estudantes numa tessitura de sentidos subjetivos sobre a escola, sobre o ato de ensinar, sobre as responsabilidades educativas de cada um dos envolvidos nesse processo. O artigo apresenta, a partir de narrativas de professores ribeirinhos, a discussão de um dos aspectos mais objetivos, mas não tão claros da atividade pedagógica: as percepções sobre os e as estudantes e os modos de lidar com os desafios que lhes são impostos e que atravessam o fazer docente. A pesquisa orientou-se pela abordagem qualitativa, reunindo narrativas de três professores/as da rede pública de ensino em municípios ribeirinhos do Estado do Pará. A análise foi realizada tendo em vista os pressupostos da análise de narrativa segundo Fritz Schütze (2013). Os resultados de análise das narrativas apontam para a premência da circulação de significados tradicionais acerca da formação e papel da família, frustrações com a falta de condições objetivas para a realização do trabalho docente, fragilidade da formação dos professores para entender e lidar com a precariedade que marcam a trajetória de vida dos estudantes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In Amazon riverside educational context, the teachers&#8217; performance draws our attention due to the conditions and peculiarities they go through in their everyday pedagogical work. Ethics and attitudinal dimensions are present, once the teaching experience is constructed side by side with the students in a weave of subjective senses about school, about the act of teaching, about the educational responsibilities of everyone involved in such process. The article demonstrates based on riverside teachers&#8217; narratives, the discussion about one of the most objective aspects, but not so clear, about the pedagogical activity: the perception about the students and the way to deal with the challenges they are to face which cross their doing. The research took the qualitative approach, gathering narratives of the three teachers of the public teaching system in riverside municipalities of Pará state. The study considered the assumption of narrative analysis by Fritz Schütze (2013). The results of the narratives' analysis indicate the necessity traditional meanings circulation about the family formation and the role it plays, frustration for the absence of objective conditions for docent's work accomplishment, fragility in teachers&#8217; formation to understand and deal with the precarity that characterizes the trajectory of students' life.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé Dans le contexte éducatif des fleuves amazoniens, les performances des professeures et des professeurs attirent l'attention, en raison des conditions et des particularités qui font partie de leur quotidien en termes de travail pédagogique. Les dimensions comportementales et éthiques sont présentes étant donné que l'expérience d'enseignement se construit aux côtés des élèves dans une trame de significations subjectives sur l'école, sur l'acte d'enseigner, sur les responsabilités éducatives de chacun de ceux qui participent à ce processus. L'article présente, à partir des récits d'enseignants des rives des fleuves, la discussion de l'un des aspects les plus objectifs, mais pas forcément les plus évidents, de l'activité pédagogique : les perceptions des élèves et les façons de relever les défis qui leur sont imposés et qui traversent la pratique enseignante. La recherche a été guidée par l'approche qualitative, rassemblant les récits de trois enseignant-e-s des écoles publiques dans des municipalités riveraines de fleuves de l'État du Pará. L'analyse a été réalisée en tenant compte des hypothèses de l'analyse de narrative selon Fritz Schütze (2013). Les résultats de l'analyse des récits mettent en évidence la nécessité urgente de la circulation de significations traditionnelles sur la formation et le rôle de la famille, les frustrations face au manque de conditions objectives pour mener à bien le travail d'enseignement, la fragilité de la formation des professeurs pour comprendre et faire face à la précarité qui caractérisent la trajectoire de vie des élèves.]]></p></abstract>
