Participaram da investigação 19 crianças de quatro a cinco anos de idade de uma escola pública, a quem a pesquisadora solicitou que manuseassem um tablet a fim de fotografarem aquilo de que mais gostavam na escola. Posteriormente, em sessões de entrevista, as crianças eram convidadas a selecionarem as fotos de que mais gostavam. O estudo foi realizado por meio de observações, produção de fotografias e entrevista. Foram realizadas 11 sessões para fotografar e sete sessões para escolhas das fotos, todas vídeo-filmadas. A construção do material empírico permitiu-nos constatar a potência da atividade desenvolvida com o tablet para as (re)elaborações e (re)significações dos participantes no tocante ao contexto escolar, afetando, dessa maneira, suas relações com o meio, com o instrumento e entre pares.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article gathers the results of a research developed under the Cultural-Historical Theory with the objective of observing the use of a tablet to help children (re)signify and (re)interpret their experiences in the school context. Nineteen children of 4-5 years old who go to a public school participated in the research; and the researcher asked them to use the tablet to take photos of what they liked the most in the school. After that, in interview sessions, the children were invited to select their favorite photos. The study was based on observation, production of photographs and interviews. There were eleven sessions to photograph and seven sessions to choose the photos, all of them recorded on camera. The construction of the empirical material allowed us to confirm the power the activity with the tablet has to (re)signify and (re)interpret the participants' school context; thus, affecting their relationship with the environment, the device itself and the peers.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo expone los resultados de una investigación desarrollada bajo la perspectiva Histórico-Cultural con el objetivo de examinar el uso de un tablet para (re)significaciones y (re)interpretaciones de niños sobre sus experiencias en el contexto escolar. Participaron en la investigación 19 niños de cuatro a cinco años de una escuela pública, a quien la investigadora solicitó que manejaran un tablet para tomar fotos de lo que más les gustaba en la escuela. Después, en sesiones de entrevista, se invitaban los niños a elegir las fotos que más les gustaban. El estudio se realizó por medio de observaciones, producción de fotos y entrevistas. Se realizaron 11 sesiones para fotografiar y siete sesiones para elegir las fotos, todas filmadas. La construcción del material empírico nos permitió constatar la potencia de la actividad desarrollada con el tablet para la (re)significación y (re)interpretación por los participantes de su contexto escolar, afectando así sus relaciones con el medio, el dispositivo y sus pares.]]></p></abstract>
