Autodenominados difusores das luzes, os peri&#243;dicos podem ser analisados como uma arena de debates, composta por uma diversidade de campos e tem&#225;ticas. Partindo desse pressuposto, o objetivo desse estudo consiste em refletir acerca dos debates e pr&#225;ticas educativas divulgados no jornal "Correio de Minas", considerado como um importante ve&#237;culo ilustrador do jogo pol&#237;tico mineiro e divulgador das "mazellas educacionais" no in&#237;cio republicano. Justifica-se a escolha pelo "Correio de Minas" devido sua significativa circula&#231;&#227;o noticiada nos almanaques de Minas Gerais, como tamb&#233;m pela sua localiza&#231;&#227;o na cidade de Juiz de Fora, segundo Ara&#250;jo (1916) destacada como "uma das mais modernas e a mais importante de Minas" naquele momento. A divulga&#231;&#227;o dos debates educacionais pelo peri&#243;dico foi significativa para a an&#225;lise de diferentes projetos de ensino para Minas Gerais. Foi poss&#237;vel observar discursos, estrat&#233;gias, jogos de verdade. O jornal representou um instrumento de poder e de persuas&#227;o daquilo que se desejava reproduzir.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The newspapers produced in Brazil in the 19th and 20th centuries, as demonstrated by In&#225;cio, Santos e Jinzenji (2010), were first the enlightenment project of spreading the values and ideas in order to educate the readership within a project of civilization. So-called "light diffusers, the journals can be analyzed as an arena of debate, composed of a diversity of fields and topics. The aim of this study is to reflect on the discussions and educational practices published in the newspaper "Correio de Minas", regarded as an "important political game Illustrator mining vehicle" and promoter of "educational deficiencies" at the beginning of the Republic. The choice by "Correio de Minas" was due to its significant movement reported in the almanacs of Minas Gerais, as well as by its location in the city of Juiz de Fora, according to Ara&#250;jo(1916), highlighted as "one of the most modern and the most important of Mines" at that time. The dissemination of educational debates by the journal was significant for the analysis of different educational projects for Minas Gerais. It was possible to observe discourses, strategies, "real games". The newspaper was an instrument of power and persuasion of what if he wanted to play.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Los peri&#243;dicos producidos en Brasil en los siglos XIX y XX, conforme se&#241;alan In&#225;cio, Santos y Jinzenji (2010), ten&#237;an como principio el proyecto iluminista de difundir los valores e ideas a fin de educar al p&#250;blico lector dentro de un proyecto civilizatorio. Autodenominados difusores de las luces, los peri&#243;dicos pueden analizarse como una arena de debates, compuesta por una diversidad de campos y tem&#225;ticas. Partiendo de ese presupuesto, el objetivo de este estudio consiste en reflexionar acerca de los debates y pr&#225;cticas educativas divulgados en el peri&#243;dico "Correio de Minas", considerado como un "importante veh&#237;culo ilustrador del juego pol&#237;tico minero" y divulgador de las "m&#225;culas educacionales" en el inicio republicano. Se justifica la elecci&#243;n del "Correio de Minas" debido a su significativa circulaci&#243;n noticiada en los almanaques de Minas Gerais, as&#237; como tambi&#233;n por su localizaci&#243;n en la ciudad de Juiz de Fora, seg&#250;n Ara&#250;jo (1916) destacada como "una de las m&#225;s modernas y la m&#225;s importante de Minas" en aquel momento. La divulgaci&#243;n de los debates educacionales por el peri&#243;dico fue significativa para el an&#225;lisis de diferentes proyectos de ense&#241;anza para Minas Gerais. Fue posible observar discursos, estrategias, juegos de verdad. El peri&#243;dico represent&#243; un instrumento de poder y de persuasi&#243;n de aquello que se deseaba reproducir.]]></p></abstract>
