A coleta de dados foi feita atrav&#233;s de entrevistas na casa das onze fam&#237;lias participantes, dessa forma, conhecemos um pouco mais quem s&#227;o essas fam&#237;lias e como vivem. Escutar as fam&#237;lias nos permitiu constatar que a creche &#233; um lugar para deixar as crian&#231;as enquanto as m&#227;es est&#227;o no trabalho. Esta caracter&#237;stica &#233; refor&#231;ada nos momentos de entrada e sa&#237;da das crian&#231;as, em que algumas m&#227;es conversam com as professoras e s&#227;o informadas se a crian&#231;a comeu, dormiu e se passou bem o dia. As fam&#237;lias observam que sua crian&#231;a brinca, canta, ouve hist&#243;rias, faz &#8220;trabalhinhos&#8221; nesse espa&#231;o, mas definem tais atividades como distra&#231;&#227;o. Por&#233;m, as m&#227;es tamb&#233;m reconhecem a creche como um lugar para aprender, entretanto, essa constata&#231;&#227;o se faz na rela&#231;&#227;o com a pr&#243;pria crian&#231;a e n&#227;o por interm&#233;dio dos profissionais da creche.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This research aimed to listen to the families of children who attend day care nursery full time, trying to understand the meaning attributed by them to the activities carried out in nurseries. Data collection was conducted through interviews at the home of eleven participating families; thus we learned a little more who these families are and how they live. Listen to families allowed us to verify that the nursery is a place to leave the children while their mothers are at work. This is reinforced in the entry and exit times of children when some mothers talk to the teachers and are informed if the child ate, slept and if he/she spent the day well. Families observe that their child plays, sings, listens to stories, performs &#8216;tasks&#8217; in this space, but they define such activities as a distraction. Mothers also recognize the nursery as a place to learn; however, this observation is made in relation to the child him/herself and not through the nursery professionals.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Esta investigaci&#243;n tuvo como objetivo escuchar a las familias de los ni&#241;os que asisten a la guarder&#237;a en per&#237;odo integral, tratando de entender el significado atribuido por ellos a las actividades realizadas en las guarder&#237;as. La recolecci&#243;n de datos se realiz&#243; a trav&#233;s de entrevistas en el hogar de las once familias participantes. De este modo fue posible conocer un poco m&#225;s sobre qui&#233;nes son estas familias y c&#243;mo viven. Escuchar a las familias nos permiti&#243; ver que la guarder&#237;a es un lugar para dejar a los ni&#241;os mientras sus madres est&#225;n trabajando. Esta caracter&#237;stica, se ve reforzada en los momentos de entrada y salida de los ni&#241;os, cuando algunas madres hablan con las profesoras y se informan si el ni&#241;o comi&#243;, durmi&#243; y si ha pasado bien el d&#237;a. A su vez las familias observan que su ni&#241;o juega, canta, escucha historias, hace "trabajitos" en este espacio, pero definen esas actividades como una distracci&#243;n. No obstante, las madres tambi&#233;n reconocen la guarder&#237;a como un lugar para aprender. Sin embargo, esta afirmaci&#243;n se basa en la relaci&#243;n con el propio ni&#241;o y no a trav&#233;s de los profesionales de la guarder&#237;a.]]></p></abstract>
