A principal contradição refletida se refere à defesa da educação inclusiva em uma sociedade que se vale da exclusão como ameaça a todos os que estiverem fora da ordem: como a estrutura social permanece inalterada, a educação inclusiva tanto busca romper a exclusão em uma sociedade que incentiva a competição e desvaloriza os perdedores, quanto pode potencializá-la, uma vez que o pertencimento ocorre por meio da subsunção às condições estruturais previamente impostas. Conclui-se que as políticas e práticas da educação inclusiva são fundamentais na luta por uma sociedade justa e igualitária; não obstante, assim como para a educação escolar em geral, seus limites devem ser conhecidos para que possam ser pensadas as condições que os determinam, com o propósito de serem superados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article aims to reflect on the progress, contradictions and limits of inclusive education policies in a capitalist society, using the theoretical framework of the Frankfurt School. The main contradiction reflected refers to the defense of inclusive education in a society that uses exclusion as a threat to all those outside the order: as social structure remains unchanged, inclusive education seeks to break exclusion in a society that encourages competition and devalues losers as much as it can enhance it, since belonging occurs through subsumption to the previously imposed structural conditions. It is concluded that inclusive education policies and practices are fundamental in the struggle for a just and egalitarian society; nevertheless, as with school education in general, its limits must be known so that the conditions that determine them can be thought of in order to be overcome.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre el progreso, las contradicciones y los límites de las políticas de educación inclusiva en una sociedad capitalista, utilizando el marco teórico de la Escuela de Frankfurt. La principal contradicción reflejada se refiere a la defensa de la educación inclusiva en una sociedad que utiliza la exclusión como una amenaza para todos los que estén fuera del orden: así como la estructura social permanece sin cambios, la educación inclusiva busca romper la exclusión en una sociedad que fomenta la competencia y devalúa a los perdedores tanto como puede mejorarla, ya que la pertenencia se produce a través de la subsunción a las condiciones estructurales previamente impuestas. Se concluye que las políticas y prácticas de educación inclusiva son fundamentales en la lucha por una sociedad justa e igualitaria; sin embargo, al igual que con la educación escolar en general, se deben conocer sus límites para poder pensar en las condiciones que los determinan para poder superarlos.]]></p></abstract>
