Elabora um esboço sobre a trajetória histórica pretérita ao ECA (Lei 8.069/90), sobre os movimentos sociais que deram origem a essa Lei e como o Estatuto se tornou um instrumento legal de proteção integral, diferente do Código de Menores de 1979. Expõe sobre o conceito de Estigma de Erving Goffman, e traz uma proposta para além de Goffman: como a sociedade pode estigmatizar para além de indivíduos, tentando fazer uma unidade dialética entre a teoria de Goffman e a experiência de estágio que culminou em uma pesquisa de campo em um Colégio Estadual no noroeste do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Como metodologia, foi aplicado um questionário com perguntas objetivas e qualitativas aos docentes que atuam na escola. Identificou-se que há um desconhecimento da Lei, assim como uma percepção &#8220;estigmatizante&#8221; que dificulta uma maior proximidade com o ECA. Discute, numa proposta provisória, as possibilidades de intervenções de Assistentes Sociais no âmbito escolar como via de enfrentamento da estigmatização do ECA.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article discusses the Statute of the child and adolescent (ECA) in the school space. Draws up an outline of the past historical trajectory of the ECA (Law 8.069/90) and the social movements that gave rise to this law and how the Statute has become a legal instrument of full protection, different from the 1979 Code of Minor. Exposes the concept of stigma of Erving Goffman, and brings a proposal in addition to Goffman: how society may stigmatize beyond individuals, trying to do a dialectic unity between the theory of Goffman and the stage experience that culminated in a field research in a State College in the Northwest of Rio de Janeiro. As a methodology, a questionnaire was applied with objective and qualitative questions to teachers working in the school. It was identified that there is an ignorance about the law, as well as a perception "stigmatizing" which makes difficult a greater proximity to the ECA. Discusses, in a provisional proposal, the possibilities of interventions of Social Workers in the school environment as a way to face the stigmatization of ECA.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo aborda el Estatuto del Niño y del Adolescente (ECA) en el ámbito escolar. Prepara un esbozo de la trayectoria histórica pasada del ECA (Ley 8.069/90), de los movimientos sociales que dieron origen a esta Ley, y de cómo el Estatuto se convirtió en un instrumento legal de protección integral, diferente del Código del Menor de 1979. Expone el concepto de Estigma de Erving Goffman y trae una propuesta más allá de Goffman: cómo la sociedad puede estigmatizar más allá de los individuos, tratando de hacer una unidad dialéctica entre la teoría de Goffman y la experiencia de prácticas que culminó en una investigación de campo en un Colegio Estatal en el noroeste del estado del Río de Janeiro. Como metodología, se aplicó un cuestionario con preguntas objetivas y cualitativas a los profesores que trabajan en la escuela. Se identificó que hay una falta de conocimiento de la Ley, así como una percepción que la "estigmatiza" y que dificulta el acercamiento al ECA. Discute, en una propuesta provisional, las posibilidades de intervención de los Asistentes Sociales en el entorno escolar como forma de hacer frente a la estigmatización del ECA.]]></p></abstract>
