No presente trabalho, procurou-se analisar, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, experiências e conhecimentos que professores de escolas públicas paulistanas do Ensino Fundamental II têm sobre o bullying. Participaram da pesquisa nove professores(as) do Ensino Fundamental de três escolas públicas (uma da rede municipal de ensino e duas da rede estadual): três de Língua Portuguesa, três de Artes e três de Educação Física. Em linhas gerais, pôde-se verificar que nem todos os entrevistados sabiam o que é bullying, mas todos afirmaram já ter presenciado algum tipo de violência que julgaram se tratar de bullying; conseguiram identificar os grupos suscetíveis a sofrer e a praticar bullying; e, por fim, convergiram ao apontar a educação e a participação da família na educação como caminho para enfrentar a prática de bullying. Em determinados casos, os entrevistados apresentaram visões estereotipadas do bullying, e alguns propuseram soluções para enfrentar a violência escolar por meio de coação, o que não favorece o convívio pacífico.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Bullying involves intentional and repetitive aggressive, physical and/or psychological behavior among peers, aiming to belittle the individual who is perceived as fragile and helpless. In the present work, an attempt was made to analyze experiences and knowledge that teachers from public elementary schools in São Paulo have about bullying. Nine elementary school teachers from three public schools (one municipal and two state schools) participated in the research: three of Portuguese, three of Arts and three of Physical Education. In general terms, it could be seen that not everyone knows what bullying is, but everyone has already claimed to have witnessed some type of violence that they believe to be bullying; were able to identify groups susceptible to suffering and practicing bullying; and, finally, they converged when pointing out education and family participation in education as a way to face the practice of bullying. In some cases, interviewees presented stereotypical views of bullying, and some proposed solutions to combat school violence through coercion, which does not favor peaceful coexistence.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El acoso implica comportamientos agresivos intencionales y repetitivos, físicos y/o psicológicos entre colegas, con el objetivo de menospreciar al individuo que se percibe como frágil e indefenso. En el presente trabajo, se buscó analizar, a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas, las experiencias y los conocimientos que profesores de escuelas públicas de Educación Primaria tienen sobre el acoso escolar. Participaron de la investigación nueve profesores de enseñanza básica de tres escuelas públicas (una de la red municipal y dos de la red estatal): tres de portugués, tres de Artes y tres de Educación Física. En términos generales se puede observar que no todos los entrevistados saben qué es el acoso, pero todos afirman haber presenciado algún tipo de violencia que creen que es acoso; lograron identificar grupos susceptibles de sufrir y practicar el; y, finalmente, convergen al señalar la educación y la participación familiar en la educación como una forma de combatir el acoso escolar. En algunos casos, los entrevistados presentaron visiones estereotipadas del acoso, y algunos propusieron soluciones para combatir la violencia escolar a través de coacción, lo que no favorece la convivencia pacífica.]]></p></abstract>
